Sunday Night Report: Change, In General

The phrase “in general” means that I rather not spend time complaining about the bad things in my life. Okay, I’ll just complain a bit.

This week in Army is… rather bad. Bad because I ended up signing extra, haiz. All because of a stupid passport photo. Really, discipline is rather natural than necessary in the Army, isn’t it?

OK, let’s not make that break my day anymore, even though I’m reminded about a Vertical Marathon event tomorrow morning, which explains I can type at this time even though it’s close to my book in time.

ANIME
Tari Tari – Eh nice episode? *watches video again* Oh yeah, Wakana found a band who knew her mother, who created a hit for the band itself. Well, all about singing and touching stories about a Mum not to be forgotten. I wish I has a Mum with music talent. Sadly…
Binbougami ga! – More humour and action, with the arrival of Momiji’s dog. Somewhat like the Celestial Dog, he sniffs out fortunate people (like Tittyko, haha) and drain their fortune off. Sadly all doesn’t work, and Momou (the dog’s name) gets an understanding about Ichiko herself. Of course all the sick themes come by in the story, like the dog is an M, which means he can transform through pain (seriously…) and yeah, he got found out by Ichiko in her bathroom? Hmm…
Hyouka – Wonderful festival, and just in a cooking competition (I must say it’s some coincidence going on in the club room for Houtarou?) they uncovered the third and last hint for the upcoming mystery. Let’s see what that goes after that, then. How much can I say, but you know how great was the Opening Song? 2 weeks later dammit! Lucky got National Day leave, so can sit down and listen…
Kokoro Connect – Yet another episodes of uncovering secrets, particularly of girls (haha apparently the guys have no problem, and Taichi was a helpful person) like Iori and Himeko. Hmm I got a feeling someone already took my idea of APoL; Of a helpful person changing everyone’s thinking… But APoL is more than that, I promise…

MUSIC
This week? Two singles as I mentioned, and they both are well. I had a hunch to try my first pre-order with Tomacchan’s new single, which has not disappointed me. I also took the lively B-side song, which made my day. Yesterday, that is. ALTIMA is just good with the A-side; I puked when I saw the old woman in their PV. Now that I have confirmed Tomacchan’s single “Yume Sekai”… I will not buy until end of this year. Haha. Because I see something I don’t want? I’m not interested in Sword Art Online Anime, and they offered to give a card along with the single…

Sambomaster’s new works have not been appearing, so I’ll reserve that until I get it. Sid’s album due next week has also appeared in the Net (pending AirI’s single next week too, Tari Tari Opening Theme), and for now I have no preference. Maybe next week. Talking about next week I only have Saturday and not Sunday, until the last week before the National Day break.

===========

Two more weeks to the Basic training of my vocation, and I’ll be going into the Specialisation stage (that’s all I can reveal), which – from the looks of it – would be more relaxing than ever. Hopefully. Well even if life sucks we all have to anticipate change. Just like if you ever bought a box of discs imported from Japan back home doesn’t mean you think getting extras is that to blame. Balance, my guys, does not happen like that. Things can be avoided, when done the necessary. I just underestimated the standard in military life, and got myself into my FIRST AND LAST trouble. Really. I swear. If I get another I rather die than go DB. (Not explaining to you what that is)

Cya guys then. I just felt that I shouldn’t talk much, especially when much has been either forgotten or forgiven by my healing soul…

Sunday Night Report: To Everything Else Nothing Has Been New

Hi guys, welcome back. Eh… wanted to think of a super-long title, and it seems to suit for an APoL chapter title. Haha…
Let’s make this quick as I have to go back to camp in an hour. (Audience: And you type now?) Yeah…
ANIME
Let’s start with Tari Tari. Eh… an interesting attempt reviving the choir club by Miyamoto (I’ll just refer them by my best impression of their names), and yeah, that teacher needs a second opinion. Show definitely worth watching, and I’m already thinking about next episode liao. Binbougami is also good, where all the jokes still happen. This time talking about saving others not in the same financial status as her, and I swear it shall be future inspiration for my own project. No, I mean I have already plans in the next few chapters, and this episode can compliment it more, haha. Kokoro Connect today (subbed today) was a rather… I duno man, these episodes of emotion-talking and expression just feel weird to me, like it comes rather unnaturally. No, there is nothing wrong about the soul-changing; That part is superb. Like, you can just switch with someone who is weeping in their sleep… I could never think of that. Hope this part ends soon with Heartseed sparing their souls, and yeah, this show is gonna be quite a long one…
On a side note, I forgot about Hyouka, and only watched it today, haha. About Kanya-sai it seems, and with the new Opening it keeps me going. Cumon, it’s a famous lyricist whose name I’ve seen in Choucho, Sphere and many Anime artists: Kodama Saori. Seriously, how bad can her songs go? The episode wise… they’re getting into the mystery (there are hints already) while trying to sell their anthologies and finding a specific Manga. Yeah Mayaka-chan, happy finding…
MUSI Oh yeah, I almost missed about another thing, K-ON! The Movie. Sis watched it already, so it’s kinda sianz, but she watched with me for her THIRD TIME. That can already show how great this show is, and yeah I can say it is. But then the atmosphere of the show maybe a little slow-paced compared to the Anime itself lah, which is rather a pity. After that, everything else from planning to go to London to the language problems they face and stupid situations they had in the journey to writing a show we have already heard for Azu-nyan… Why not for those who haven’t watch go watch now, yeah? Honestly, if you loved K-ON! from episode one and had been loving it since, this is definitely not a miss. Really.
MUSIC
Wow this can be very long, but I’ll cut things short. I have four new singles (one reviewed last week, Kana-chan’s) for this week. Kana-chan’s okay for her 2nd single, Kalafina is just wonderful in their own way, Ikimono is just releasing another A-side only single and eufonius has given us the best Opening for Kokoro Connect I can ever expect, to be drawn into this show. The similarity between all four singles is that… I did not take their B-sides? Yeah, now that’s “unpopular season” for you…
On previews-wise, Kodama Saori is expected to trash this season’s Anime songs, I have found both first albums of Chatmonchy and Aqua Timez and gave them thumbs down, and took another new song from cozy diary, if you remembered they made an impression when I was weeping over my ‘A’ Level results. So have a listen; it’s just relaxed music when you need it.
SHOWS
None unfortunately, so I’ll skip this.
Hmm Dad’s already rushing me to go shower (haha I know I stink now, but as if you smell that from this page), so I better be quick. *silence* Damn it’s difficult to write now. Like, you’re sianz you have to go in camp now, suffering a week of rushed happenings, stupid regimental and discipline, doing new things you hoped you do not need to do anyway, and trying to enjoy the little sleeping time and wonderful food they serve. Hey yeah, that’s about my life as a Combat Engineer for the next three weeks, and they’ll see it from there. Yeah, “they” refers to the commanders. For now, I’m more worried to get in and even have 7 hours of sleep. Haiz, it’s vexing to have only like 30 mins of own time you know…
Cya guys then, have no much mood to type liao. Thought of creating a list of differences between Tekong and the camp I’m in now (I cannot say?) and giving you guys a bogus link to read it, (Audience: WTH?) but I rather enjoy the… the things I’m busy about? Haiz, sleeping in book out time is just like- like… haiz. I’m officially brain dead. Leave me alone, ok? APoL? Well if you have the cheek to ask again ask next week, I’m done for now. Good bye…
[P.S.: I say you guys don’t ask me any more questions liao lor! Haiz, I suppose I need to shut your traps up:
Hah! What do you make of this? (Audience: Lame…)]
[P.P.S.: (Audience: You know, you’re not cut out to be a comedian?) Yeah. I know. *goes to a corner and draws circles*]

Friday Noon Report: The Path To Go

Hi guys. I duno why I keep starting with that, but who cares. I think you guys can guess I’m here to tell of my vocation to you guys. But unfortunately I an afraid to post any form of military text on this blog so I’ll just show one thing that makes the point:

“FD ENGR PNR – PLT”

In basic look it’s Combat Engineer (bo bian have to be Combat vocation, we’re told beforehand already), and FD means… Field Engineer? OMG not outfield…

Well putting that aside, and Dad consoling me that after training it’s more of managing the place instead of occasional outfields, my cousin KW has updated me with more accurate information. He told me, that the PNR represents “Pioneer”, which is a symbol for demolition.

Demolition? Explosives? C4? Death Cord? Well this could be fun…

I mean, really. At least I’m not the “chiong sua” type, or I do so in order to place some explosive to create a blast. Which is good, in my opinion. Camp-wise… I go to specialised-in-demolition Seletar East Camp, close to my home and just a bus trip away…

I’m glad, but not like very excited. I already know I’m in for some fierce training, given that my blisters haven’t recovered this would not be easy. Hope the life I have in that unit would be good, like superiors and stuff, and less of people like me in that camp (haha you get what I mean) so I don’t feel bad. I just hope when I enter on next Monday (yeah I still have the weekend) I don’t get a big shock (not cultural, I know the standards) big enough to make me want to down PES. People do that, but I want to avoid it. Anyways, my military career in these 2 years has been determined, and I’m hoping the best for it. Help me hope for the best too, yeah?

Cya guys then, until next time… I need to pack up already? APoL… haiz. I’ll see about next Monday first?

Thursday Night Report: A Prioritised Package

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA… (Audience: Eh… may we inquire on your ecstatic mood?) Well… the parcel arrived! Or actually, it’s a small box! Yeah!!

“It has never been so good. Now I know why consumer economy is thriving...” –Kaineng

Now do I only understand the true meaning of consumerism, as I see the deliveryman from FedEx (I noticed I spelt it wrongly previously…) give me the box, to me opening it and listening to it one by one, to be seeing some small gift items that come along with it… (even though it’s months since I bought these CDs) I can tell you it’s a kind of excitement. But yeah I also know I see some hole in my bank account already, but never mind. Actually, it kinda worries me you know: I’ve not been able to update my bankbook lately… (Audience: WHAT YOU USE BANKBOOKS? So outdated siah…) *silence* Hehe…

OK I’ll get to the details, said as a perspective of a consumer. I ordered a package worth of 13 of the finest singles in 2012 I’ve listened to far (haha the formalities), from CdJapan in… Japan, via FedEx to reach my home in Singapore. It seemed a smooth process ever since I clicked the “Order” button on Sunday evening, and it arrived this noon (it was quite on time), which means it’s about four days to process my order. The quality-wise… what can be seen is evident: It’s flawless in packaging, and protected properly using paper and bubble wrap (you know those things that Adam wrapped around himself to try to break a fall till he almost ran out of breath?) (Audience: What was that for…) to secure my goods. I rather recommend they place a “fragile” sign on the package though, because what CANNOT be seen has evident flaws, but not big enough that I can report, so I’ll let it pass for this once. Here’s a little pic I posted on Facebook to show my “wares”, haha:
As you can see, they come in different packages and sizes, and I somewhat thought of a way to keep them: Right in the package itself, haha. I see from Internet forums that YesAsia puts more bubble wrap than what Adam places on himself (ie. Quality assured?), but I don’t mind. I think I better stick to a reliable source for now. I’ll see about it, yeah?

Also, the songs just play wonderfully on the home theatre my home has, and I can only say from CDs… the effort they had to make the CDs is just… splendid. Jackets look wonderful, even to the discs and extra stuff placed inside… OK maybe I’m just a newbie at this, but for looking at these small stuff I’m willing to invest more in the near future, really. Are you ready to join me, or have you already experienced this music importing industry for some time and is enjoying it already? Haha I know JK has: His room is filled with SNSD stuff…

But you know? These are all IMPORTED stuff, and I guess not many have done this before, especially when you can just travel to buy them and get them fresh from the stores. Mine is different man, and it’s an experience like never before. On a side note, you do not see DVDs (or even Blu-Rays) because I’m worried about region problems (Singapore = Region 3, Japan = Region 2.

Conclusion: Incompatible? and I have no $$$ to afford BD. Besides I have no BD player, or the next home theatre shall be contributed by me, somewhat or another. And my future purchases, it may also depend on whether my vocation is good or not, and when I’ll get a pay raise, or if by any chance someone pushed me to Command School when I rejected the idea before. It all depends.

”It’s just… all in the air at the moment.”

Yeah, so the day is going to arrive soon: Friday 1000 hours. The time I shall open a browser and take a visit to MINDEF. Hope they don’t disappoint me. Hope I don’t disappoint myself. Hope… it’s all but bleak, huh…

Cya guys then, until tomorrow… I wonder when will I even up my mood to post again, but until next time… I need to get APoL moving. I’VE NOT WRITTEN ANYTHING YET! SORRY GUYS!!…

Wednesday Night Rush Report: Paying For A Secret

Wow that was one LOOOOOOONG post. Now for shorter one, ok?

*Looking at title* Can I really say it? (Audience: If you not scared of being sued by MINDEF and that TCM you visited [Yeah you didn’t see wrong, it’s both?]) Eh… I’ll say it: I drank too much water. (Audience: OMG!!) Yeah. the TCM said it. My “qi” was not smooth, I cannot sh*t (that’s true), I f***ing coughed throughout the session with the doctor yesterday afternoon, and he even can know I’m scared of cold conditions just by feeling me! OM- Wait. OMDBG… (Audience: |||…) Haha…

I’m getting into Taoism already, aren’t I? –Kaineng

Sh*t I said this is gonna be short, okay, okay. So I paid 50 bucks, he gave my pills and a solution-like medicine, and told me to drink only when thirsty (haha that’s equal to not drinking: I’m too lazy to go to the water point in my home, haha). Well, I paid for a lesson, and I’m not gonna complain about the endless water parades and jittering of my Mum to drink water- Wait. I’m complaining already, right? *Audience nods* Oh… Serves me right for drinking so much…

My present state now is rather fine, compared to two days ago. It’s Wednesday already (oh damn so fast, and my parcel is coming~) (Audience: Ah what an ass. Just get on…) (Haha~ *excited*) and I’m still coughing out the phelgm and sh*tting as much as I can. I’ve not drank 500ml (at one go) per day already (unless you include soup) and I think I’m a little better, besides that occasional ache on my left shoulder. Nevertheless, I hope I had more time to rest. But with SO many reports to do, discs to burn (VCD, not the DVDs of artists, not porn), one chapter of APoL to write (I haven’t gotten into it yet! OMDBG…) and many games to play including in no order: Sims 3 (a stuff pack is coming this week), Sims 2 (loved doing business in there, so sis and I are playing), GTA IV Episodes From Liberty City (yeah) and CitiesXL 2012, which… I’m gonna give up once the new SimCity 2013 game kicks in…

OMG! I’m busy, I’m busy, I’m busy~ (Audience: There’s no need to type it thrice…) (Yeah, I shouldn’t have typed it. I should’ve copied and pasted it.) (Audience: |||…)

Cya guys then. Real short this time. If I had the time I also wanna share a small percentage of the melodies I can remember during my BMT days. We’ll see about it, yeah? Until next time~

[P.S.: I’ll update on the results of my vocation and the parcel. Stay tuned. (Notice I don’t dare to place the word “promise”?)]

Just in case you think I only posted once/twice today, it’s not the case. It’s thrice.
