Hi guys. I duno why I keep starting with that, but who cares. I think you guys can guess I’m here to tell of my vocation to you guys. But unfortunately I an afraid to post any form of military text on this blog so I’ll just show one thing that makes the point:
“FD ENGR PNR – PLT”
In basic look it’s Combat Engineer (bo bian have to be Combat vocation, we’re told beforehand already), and FD means… Field Engineer? OMG not outfield…
Well putting that aside, and Dad consoling me that after training it’s more of managing the place instead of occasional outfields, my cousin KW has updated me with more accurate information. He told me, that the PNR represents “Pioneer”, which is a symbol for demolition.
Demolition? Explosives? C4? Death Cord? Well this could be fun…
I mean, really. At least I’m not the “chiong sua” type, or I do so in order to place some explosive to create a blast. Which is good, in my opinion. Camp-wise… I go to specialised-in-demolition Seletar East Camp, close to my home and just a bus trip away…
…
I’m glad, but not like very excited. I already know I’m in for some fierce training, given that my blisters haven’t recovered this would not be easy. Hope the life I have in that unit would be good, like superiors and stuff, and less of people like me in that camp (haha you get what I mean) so I don’t feel bad. I just hope when I enter on next Monday (yeah I still have the weekend) I don’t get a big shock (not cultural, I know the standards) big enough to make me want to down PES. People do that, but I want to avoid it. Anyways, my military career in these 2 years has been determined, and I’m hoping the best for it. Help me hope for the best too, yeah?
Cya guys then, until next time… I need to pack up already? APoL… haiz. I’ll see about next Monday first?
