Tuesday Close-To-Midnight Report: 2013 in Retrospect

Hi guys. Promised to be here and here I am. 2013 has been a great year. Of course the main topic of why it is so is because I’m just being an obedient dog in my job and not worried about anything else and at the same time collect money every month. That, is on the good side.

THE GOOD SIDE
I’ve done many, at least with the Klassic Note Spirit. If you guys still don’t know what the heck is he writing a spelling error about, it’s about time you know this spirit of listening to songs that is within me. Till date it was progressed to me ordering CDs from many places, creating a 5th anniversary project for this presence, and managing to finish all the current year… stuff this year, normally done across the year. Here we go:

Klassic Note 2013 Results Page (with your favourite Top 20 segment continuing to play on SoundCloud)

Klassic Note 5th Anniversary Special Site (decided to squeeze everything, not possible; decided to make it simple, looks very unglamorous too)'

I have also got myself a new smart phone and took up a data plan, after much thought and waiting for the previous plan to reach its point for re-contract (I know many don’t wait because they have cash to spare, but…) and this is the season. Been using my (LG) Google Nexus 5 for 2 weeks down and the experience is awesome. (Audience silent) Haiz, why everyone no reaction to Google phones? Is it that bad? (Audience: Well it wasn’t popular…) (Audience: At least it’s you striving to not be mainstream…) Thanks. That’s what a friend of mine told me too. Apparently people only recognise this logo-less phone after I change to a familiar wallpaper. Well that aside, looks like I can be WatsApp-ed and contacted with the data plan flying over my head too.

(I didn’t prepare for this post so I’m recalling haha) Also much progress in APoL, as I have still been stuck with progress, and this time with the phone let’s hope this will improve for the future years. Haiz thought of finishing the next three chapters before the year ends, but… Haiz…

On the bad side, I have yet to consider where my future should continue, even till this date, and already lost since two – no, four years ago.

THE BAD SIDE
Many have been pestering (mainly parents) about taking a driving license (due to me learning it somewhere… you guys should know) and applying for further education due to the recent downfall I had after ‘A’ Levels, but then there hasn’t been any progress, even until now. Which leads to us talking about me on the new year, so we need to set a direction for what we want to do for the next year, to change this, to move ahead.

On that note, Happy New Year and welcome to 2014, which is about half an hour from when I finished this. Cya guys tomorrow as I’ll talk about (seriously, I will even dream about it) new year resolutions as I’ve never done it before. And also, prepare for moving of this site to a new one. Seriously:

“Seriously, my life needs a revamp.” –Kaineng

[P.S.: (Audience: Seriously that’s pretty-) Yes, what? (Audience: Pretty half-assed for a post you didn’t prepare for. What have you been doing since just now?) Doing up the Klassic Note sh*t? Haha I know I should’ve thought it over…]

Tuesday Afternoon Report: Song Awards Done!

Ah forgot to tell you guys and have been rushing through all the Song Awards things as well as the things concerning my future… yep here it is! Not the latter one of course.

Klassic Note Song Awards 2013 Results Page

Or if you are so lazy to go there, and only want the top 20 list, here’s the soundcloud widget:

The latter one mentioned at the start shall be discussed tonight, when I have the mood. It’s not the end of 2013 for me as far as I’m concerned. See you guys tonight.

[P.S.: What shall I do… (Audience: We’ll discuss this, okay?) Okay…]

Monday Afternoon Report: Entertainment News

OK a quick one before I get back to the last (and probably busiest) two days of the year.

What? Why I am here? I’m free until the New Year? Then I’ll be gone again. Haiz… at least I don’t have far to go…

ANIME
As it’s the festive week (and so is next week) some shows have been postponed in airtime. Well, I mean ‘some’.
Coppelion: Last episode ended rather appropriately, I think. The Vice-Principal came with his team after tired of waiting for the world meeting to end, and everyone came back in one piece. Not some though, but let’s not talk about them. The ending song is… eh I think is okay, but I’ll see about it as the year’s about to end. This show overall? Okay lah, not as pissed as the blogger in RC…
Nagi no Asukara: Of course they couldn’t stop the show from airing its most important cliffhanger episode, as Manaka… with correspondence to the ending animation, is… is… (Audience: What?) She sacrificed herself. Damn Uroko-sama too, being such a jerk at the last moment, and thinking he could get back at Akira an innocent girl (the cutest one, Miuna doesn’t count) took her place and sank to the bottom of the… trap? Next episode is the aftermath, not much is revealed, but we’ll have to wait till two weeks later. MANAKA!!!… *sob* (Audience: Cliffhangers, huh…)

The other two shows are in hiatus until two weeks later. For Samurai Flamenco? I rather it not continue, but… looks like they’re persistent on showing the Flamengers, so…

Also, new season Anime has been compiled by Random Curiosity (RC) so go take a look. May want to watch more then Seitokai Yakuindomo, but my hands are full on shows, so… see lor.

MUSIC
Been preparing for the first batch of songs for next year, and I have some results. Familiar names include Diane Birch (from 2009 “Valentino”) and Kuusou Iinkai (yep, just this year). Stay tuned for more. Been doing up the special site but… Wix.com is a jerk so I think I may stick with Webs.com, I think. Also prepared a Twitter page to update asap anything that happens within my music life, including things not seen in her nowadays like Song of the day and individual reviews, normally recorded privately in previous years.

SHOWS
Looking forward to MythBusters next year along with the Anime comeback, and coincidentally been able to watch CrazyGod live online (normally have to wait the next day, especially Sunday broadcast), so that is more good news.

Cya guys then. The next time I should be redirecting you to a Webs page or Wix page, depending on my progress. Until next time.

(Audience: Are you okay today? You seem rather…) Serious? Then that’s good news…

Sunday Midnight Report: "I Forgot" Chapter X

I swear I only remembered this only after I turned off my com, and it is not the first time (this time saved by my phone). Will do up Entertainment News tomorrow, plus been doing up this year's song awards. お楽しみください。

-Kaineng

Monday Afternoon Report: Entertainment News Weekly

Not really feeling well if you would forgive me for not posting yesterday, but… let’s get on with it, huh? Or else it will snow pile for next week already…

ANIME
Coppelion: Success hasn’t tasted that sweet for the group of Coppelion as they have achieved their purpose by leaving the heavily radiated area and somewhat out of danger of the 1st Division (who some have joined them, duno why) and the Ozu sisters. Seeing its end kind of bad to see this nice show go, but glad it ended on a good note. Just don’t know how it is like in the Manga though, but don’t think will read on anyway…
Samurai Flamenco: Ridiculousness cannot be expressed much further for the ending of this show because apparently there’s a bigger enemy like two episodes into the end of the season, and the action star George is actually none other than the commander of a secret defensive organisation to defeat the greater enemy. How crazy is that for a show? Crazy as it sounds, let’s hope it does a proper ending, or I may end up hating this show as I have with its initial impression when I haven’t watched this. Somewhat regretting the decision back then already…
Nagi no Asukara: Kaname decides to make this straightforward and links up Chisaki and Hikari’s feelings to the people they like. This love pentagon just gets worse as the world “ends” and as Tsumugu fishes Manaka up again, like in the first episode. What would happen to the world as it is now? Will the Boatdrift Ceremony (just following the subtitles for the name) (Or おふねしき if you don’t like that name) change anything now that the world is slowly deteriorating? The guy at RC is kinda crazy to talk about Manaka being the sacrifice or if anyone would be one, but that may be the case. Looking forward to a wonderful ending for a show that would prove to be the best this season. Out of the four I watched lah, of course.
Golden Time: Eh… things get worse, the party gets crazy, Banri gets high, and then Kouko appears. Haha. I swear Banri wants to get back to the past (I mean the other one), but then I guess why I think this show is going a little haywire in terms of script quality, it that they do not explain Banri’s condition from the start. This means we have to know that Banri has a second conscious and it somewhat controlling his love decisions. Well, good try for failing the show, but the love triangle is rather exciting. And I swear I liked Kayanon being dere and all. Haha, sorry.

MUSIC
This week is nothing much, and especially when the single of Kana-chan which is supposed to appear on Christmas came early yesterday, and… kinda reluctant to give the B-sides, so it shall stop here with that song. 205 in total this year, another record. And I haven’t included this month’s Oreimo ending songs, which I will reconsider if it appeared late in the Net. After Christmas would be in full steam doing up the results as always. The 5th anniversary preparations… are still on way, as I’m trying to fork out money to buy ink for the printing, or else my mother will hit the roof. Not to mention me. Haha.

Guess that’s all. Cya guys next time… as I try to do up the blog for what happens next year. You see, I’m kinda lost in life at the moment…

Tuesday Night Report: Their Understanding

I then noticed today that there are some people in the service industry DO know how to cater to the elderly, apart from their apparent knowledge of the profession.

I went to the nearby mall today to re-contract my phone plan (after the last time I ended up buying my new phone, Nexus 5) in the local telco shop and I found out that the staff do understand and can observe the usage of my mother’s line (which I shall not bore you about) and answer her basic question of (not exact) “why am I paying so much phone bill every month?” Apparently she signed for more talk time, however it is only within the telco company users, and she does not know about it. So every friend of hers (which is a lot) who is9 not signed to the company she is actually charged the usual rate, which stacks up to a lot of money. The staff can also tell her her usage to recommend her a data plan which suits her best, leading to her actually considering the 4G upgrade (yesh my mum LOVES 3G lol).

After that, my mother told me to settle my own lunch so I went to Mac for a bite. Waiting for the queue for my order, I see an old man taking his order without hesitation, and in translation from Chinese, is roughly “can I have the $2 burger?” and the cashier immediately knows what he is talking about. Staring up to the menu I see that McChicken (from where I was from) a la carte is actually the same price. And upon the old man further asking about a “mushroom burger” or the same price she kindly tells him that is from KFC (Shrooms Burger if you guys don’t eat oily fried chicken) and he understands.

So you see, understanding is important, especially in the service industry. Answering to client’s or customer’s simple questions easily is actually part of the job.

[P.S.: (Audience: Wait. Why are you sounding to international even though readers do know you are a Singaporean, are in the Army and do spend a lot of money since last year?) Eh… trying to be understanding? Hehe…]

Sunday Night Report: The Klassic Note Extra – The Klassic Note Timeline

It may not be complete as I don’t remember much, but here we go:

It’s been five years, huh…
(ごねんぶりか…)

Sunday Night Report: The Klassic Note Spirit Final – Year 2012 and 5th Year Plans

(Feels like a blogging marathon to me already) (Audience: Who ask you don’t want to do them separately you got Thursday until now)

I thought I’d tell you guys what’s happening soon already. It may take time, but I’m going to compile everything I’ve heard and- (Audience: Post it on the Net?) Not the songs, don’t worry. Let’s carry on.

------------------------------

Freedom seems to be a determining factor when one has the mood to listen to more songs, and that is what happened to me in 2012: I’m free. Free from education, and into the military. Without much troubles (at least the stress is off) to worry about, I also expanded my ears to listen to more, and perhaps, “give chance”.

THE DEFINITION OF 5-STARS
And then we’re talking about this already? Oi scriptwriter, why this first? (Audience: Ask yourself goddammit. And this is supposed to be formal essay.) Ok I’m sorry.

THE DEFINITION OF 5-STARS
After so long, I then noticed and have time to notice and ask myself that question: What is a perfect song? Is it a song that impresses me on first listen? Is it a song that is flawless for me to give a thumbs up and not criticise any part of the song? What shall it be? If so should I give more or continue to give blindly based on my first impressions? Questioning myself that, I ended up setting parameters (not as much as to give guidelines yet) to what is ‘a nice song’. Problematic, huh? Because of that, and the need to keep up with the number of songs I have given such a rating before, I ended up giving half the songs 5-stars out of second impression. Really, and that is worth considering about. It also somewhat affects my decisions for this year too.

DELIVERY STATUS
Good news is, due to me giving so many songs chances and even on 5-star ratings, and me having a decent salary, I start to spend. And guess what’s the first thing I spend on: CDs. Lot of them. Enough to stack it flat to reach my desk. That’s about 100+ discs from 2008 to 2012. I can still remember the first batch of CDs when they came: I was so happy my smile almost made me 10 years older. (with all the lines on my face and everything) You guys still remember that post? I guess not, me too anyway. But really, if there were someone who is THIS crazy as me placing a bunch of CDs and they are not Chinese albums or Anime songs, it’s me. Yeah.
The shelf that I had last year, and far right is part of the shelf I have now. Can see it’s 2012 (the middle row) that wins the medal

YUI’S HIATUS
If you need some bad news, this is one of them. YUI has decided to go on hiatus and has been seen in a new rock band called “FLOWER FLOWER”, and has till date released only one song on iTunes (ie. digital edition) and given a live of songs that I’ve never heard of before. So I have no idea where she is heading. Is she going to come back? Or is she pursuing another kind of music which… I may not like? But saying that, I’ve done many to support her.
See? It’s THIS much support. 49 songs, 3 albums and 15 singles… no one can beat that already. Not in my lifetime. Really. *salutes*

IN SEARCH OF ALTERNATIVES
Worrying this much, I can see why I spend more time on YouTube (is how I met ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE) and audioleaf (how I came to know sunday morning bell, deepNow, and SECONDWALL) just to find another tune or artist that suits me. Important, huh? I guess it’s inevitable. Not listening to songs now that it has become an addiction makes it harder not to search for a melody. And with mainstream artists becoming inactive, this is actually a path I carved out to carry on listening to more Japanese songs.

RANKINGS INCLINATION
To what? You may say. Dear readers, Klassic Note has come a long way. So naturally the rankings have to change. To favour the new and indie songs and artists that appear, and retire the mainstream regulars who aren’t so active as they are. To this, the list has for the first time since 2008 had its top songs replaced, by Chatmonchy and fumika instead of Aqua Timez, or VELTPUNCH. Many songs in the list have many new names appear, including those who may not even have a release for me to review. So you see, it has not been easy.

PLAN FOR 5TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Nope, I don’t intend to celebrate for anybody anything. It’s because I listen to this much and loved them for so long that made me want to commemorate and celebrate this SPIRIT I have within myself, and that is Klassic Note. Plan is as follows: (this is going to be long if necessary take a tranquiliser lol)
[Action, and proposed time of execution in brackets]

~Artist Rankings from 2008 all the way to 2012 (will be posted by end of year)
~THREE compilations that have been mentioned at the start of this Klassic Note Spirit series (released, book to be done by end of year)
~Compilation for Nano-Mugen Compilations from 2008 to 2012 (released, book also by end of year)
~Artist’s Compilations of many artists I’ve listened many songs of, like YUI, Aqua Timez etc. (released last year)
~Yearly Compilations from 2008-2012 (released as playlists so as to save CDs)

Here are the plans that DID NOT WORK:
[Action, and reason in brackets]
~Song Rankings from 2008 till 2012 (tried it using elimination but failed terribly many songs I liked got kicked out of the list, yes I mean MANY songs)
~Songs Rankings not in audio only, but in video (tried to gather resources but have not been able to find a standard in video quality)
~Artist Case Study and biography by myself (too lazy to type, and have not completed on anyone yet)
~Many more compilations that I had in mind from 2012 until now (too many, that’s the reason LOL) (and apparently the three above is what I can churn out a list of)

Also successful plans will also be posted on a website that… I would spend the rest of the year doing up, so you guys get to see it next year.

Overall, it seems that this spirit would not end. Not with my enthusiasm and my thirst for more wonderful Japanese songs! This thirst, this passion, this enthusiasm… that is the Klassic Note Spirit. Always searching for that melody. Hey that could me my motto! Wait, let’s try this again:

“Always Searching, For That Melody”

The Klassic Note Spirit

------------------------------

[P.S.: Eh… on a side note, I’m also having to do up a new place for my blog, as this… two years already, right? Needs a revamp already…]

Sunday Night Report: Entertainment News Weekly

Yeah finally I got to this weekly digest of entertainment commentary straight from a Singaporean who is so in love (but not “madly”) with Anime and J-Pop. Let’s get started.

ANIME
Coppelion: Oh yeah they finally got the train started, after much effort, and they guys left Haruto to die with the 1st Division leader. Haha, how heartless. But of course the guess here should be Haruto being a Coppelion would most likely survive compared to the human without much radiation protection. And Aoi-chan is super awesome this episode! Not mentioning that she managed to stop the “steel spider” chasing after the lot, she also managed to protect everyone from the Ozu sisters using her… teleportation and force fields kind of power. Good job Aoi-chan! (most likely what NoSense would say) For next episode… Ibuki’s going into labour??
Samurai Flamenco: Controversy, as they say, makes the best drama. (Remember all quotes come from me hehe. That’s why I fail in General Paper) As so with this Anime, as I see plenty of Anime adaptation of ideas, like rockets and monster reviving out from goo, or even something more familiar is Flamenco pulling out a ball from the chest of King Torture. Remember the Hogyoku from BLEACH? That’s what I mean. But then the many cliffhangers and turning of the usual paths makes this show worth watching, really. The blogger at RC don’t seem to agree with me though. Next episode should be the last, as we see how they wrap up this show which is about to become a stinker. Haha. That just now was NOT my opinion.
Nagi no Asukara: (wow I wrote this much already?) Still underwater, the kids are still determined to do the Ceremony, even though the Lord does now it does not do anything and the people in the surface are helping because they think it does, at least ease the Sea God. Contradicting, isn’t it? Interesting how this Anime original plays out, and the fact that the kids are confessing to each other just makes me irritated. Chisaki got a shock on the start of the episode, and Hikari apparently is going to get one too next episode. How would the world even end? Don’t ask me; I didn’t write the story…
Golden Time: I’m half asleep as I watch this show already. But if I recommend you NOT to watch while I still do, doesn’t that show that I’m very persistent? (Audience: As they say, “there’s no turning back”…) Yep. I suppose so. But then things are NOT turning into a beach trip as Banri needs money to treat Kouko to a night in a beach hotel or something like that, but then into a fancy dress party where the cast (besides Kouko) is there to serve drinks. Cue Linda in devil costume! And if I say she’s cuter than Kayanon I’ll really be 2D-kun, if you get what I’m saying…

MUSIC
This week I’ve been waiting for Kawano Marina-chan’s FIRST album. Like, people after her have been releasing beyond their first album already. Seriously? Haiz. Nevertheless, picked up a few songs for good measure, so that pretty much wraps up her music career. (Audience: Huh? Really?) No lah, but at the rate she’s going (especially without a style) I’m even doubtful if I want to listen to her next time. (Audience: Then they will couple it to the Anime you want to watch and you’ll get stuck in it, right?) I guess so… Wait. How do you guys know? (Audience: LOL)

UPCOMING (AT LEAST UNTIL END OF THE YEAR)
Thought I would inform you guys about this too.
RELEASES: Left Hanazawa Kana-chan’s 5th single and ChouCho’s 2nd album (duno if I would listen to that yet) on Christmas (Audience: In which you have to go back to do-) Don’t mention that can? Also got hold of ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE’s (aka “altmed”, not “ackmed”) (Jeff Dunham: LOL) debut album, and would determine if I want to place it for this year or next. Maybe just one song:

“Just close your eyes, make a wish;
I will be the brightest star to shine tonight~”

-From “Making Wishes” by ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE

(Yesh just by hearing. Their English is not bad, you know…)

LIVES: Awaiting Kalafina’s “consolation” album live, still downloading along with the album above. Hope to give review next week.
MOVIES: Planning to clear two movies when next year starts. Don’t know if you guys know of them, “Kotonoha no Niwa” featuring Kana-chan AND “Hal” featuring Yocchan. Yesh I only focus on the female leads, can? The latter is releasing its discs around Christmas too, and also a date has been announced for the latest Kara no Kyoukai movie: my birthday next year. Looking forward to it already…

Well I guess that’s all. More to be revealed next week. Well if you don’t do some research (or even bother to click on the links I placed) all the above here would be considered a “reveal” to you guys.

Next up: The Klassic Note Spirit, especially what happened last year…

[P.S.: Can I post one picture? Really this one is seriously cute! Can? (Audience: Okay you can-) YESH! (Audience: Fast!)
めがねだ!めがねだ!かわいいいいいいいいいいいい~ (Well that’s what they do all over niconico LOL)]

Sunday Night Report: Near Miss

dad vs package

Hi guys. It’s this weekly shit again. LOL not that I don’t like doing it, but then talking to myself and my lazy character just doesn't tally with maintaining a blog. Haha. Just joking. Let’s carry on. I start not with Entertainment News to do myself a self-reflection…

Today’s keywords shall be “FATHER” and “PACKAGE”.

FATHER
Obviously it has got to do with the old man in my family, or how do they call their father… “old geez”, in translation from plenty of Anime I see. Well… Wednesday (the one that passed) was the start of my off and leave, ie Holiday Season until next year, but also that day was the day of his checkup. And it seems that there’s a problem with blood vessels and may be serious enough to go for an operation, slated on two days ago. The bad news? I spent the whole of Friday in Changi Hospital along with my mother just to be by his side (and there he’s pointing to the lonely old man opposite his bed) and helping him whenever my mother prompted.

Yeah I wasn’t good at initiation. If you guys need more read APoL.

The good news? Nothing much happened, and no further operation was necessary, for that “operation” I was mentioning was a check to see the vessel blockage. So, it’s okay. A NEAR MISS.

PACKAGE
Fact is: I wasted 50 bucks on a calendar that never arrived. Or more specifically, I wasted money on a calendar I ordered over the Net, wasn't informed about it’s location when it arrived, and it was sent back to its sender. I called the post office and was too late as they could not do anything about it. I tracked the package in the website and it seems that… the sending back was decided on Friday morning. Yesh all these events are in the current week. (Audience: In other words…) I just missed it. I spent Thursday going around and getting my new phone, which I will explain later in Entertainment News. I could've spent the time calling and gone to the post office to claim it. But NO, I didn’t. ANOTHER NEAR MISS.

The result? I clicked the order button again on Amazon because I so loved Patrick McDonnell and his comic work. (Audience: Oh it’s Mutts…) And this time I’m not going to miss. Surefire methods will be used so that it doesn’t happen again. (Audience: And that is?) Eh…

Guess that’s all, sharing a small part of this emo person’s life to you guys. Finally got this down. Last few days didn’t even have the mood to do so. Entertainment News up next, and don’t think I forgot to complete the Klassic Note Spirit…

Sunday Night Report: The Klassic Note Spirit V – Year 2011

2011 has been proven to be a more vibrant year than ever for Klassic Note, ie. the songs I listen to somewhat does not end. That’s what happens when you listen to J-Pop: Too many songs to listen so you cannot rest.
THE NEW MEDIA
Apparently at this time, many copyright laws and country laws do allow the music companies to appear in more familiar platforms, like for example YouTube, the first and most used video streaming service in the world, which clearly needs no introduction from me. But the companies need introduction, like King Records (with plenty of solo voice actor music careers on hands), Lantis (famous for their Anime songs) and Pony Canyon (also Anime songs, and overseas artists) have been around to give me more songs to preview, and expanding my horizon on music listening, which explains how the songs in my list never decrease, despite the ending of K-ON! with it’s movie and Oreimo with their Ending Songs, at least for the first season.
THE ANIME WORLD WITHOUT BLEACH
Yes, must be very boring isn’t it… NOT! With BLEACH ending soon on March 2012, the sudden stop in artist introductions is a major concern. However new shows with more artists have actually broadened my listening, from Anime “Fractale” featuring AZUMA HITOMI, “[C] - CONTROL: THE MONEY OF SOUL AND POSSIBILITY” Anime original featuring School Food Punishment and NICO Touches The Walls, “A Channel” featuring Kawano Marina, to even Hyadain in “Nichijou”.

Title says it all. She also sang later that year on her 2nd single which hit my rankings, “Kira Kira”…

EVEN MORE NEW ARTISTS
New artists include “ALTIMA”, “LAMA”, “fumika” to already disbanded artist “Natural High” and “negoto”, which can be seen in 2012 actively too.

The great jazz duo “Natural High” singing with a guy: What a fresh idea. Also…

They have awesome piano melodies in their releases. Yesh, this single has been on my shelf already, haha.

As they already say, “picture says a thousand words”, not to even say in video. As you can see, the songs have not decreased, and so is my passion for listening to J-Pop.

Next and lastly: The Klassic Note Spirit last part – 2012 and my wonderful idea of starting all this from five years ago…
[P.S.: (Audience: Huh like that only? Why does it get shorter every time already?) I’m lazy already, huh…]

Sunday Night Report: Entertainment News Weekly

If you’re reading this as if you’re reading a weekly magazine issue, then you’ve not been reading magazines. At all. Let’s get me typing.

ANIME
Coppelion: The guys start their plan to get out of the city to the nearest hospital, and things have been optimistic. Meeting with some pretty heavy issues, I guess it’ll take time, enough for a certain someone to bring out her Coppelion powers and someone to give birth? Well we shall see about Aoi-chan’s seemingly “teleportation” power next week? Can’t wait already…
Samurai Flamenco: Looks like people got used to monsters fighting with superheroes in town? Must be a heck a lot of time already, but King Torture seems to be planning on something. If you read the author at RC he mentioned a few good points to this show’s ending. Are the monsters King Torture possesses under him aliens? What is his intention for taking such a mundanely long time letting his force out one by one? Seems to bring to an awesome ending, but I can’t say yet… On a side note, I just think Hayami Show, the one that acts for King Torture and (if you guys would recognise) Aizen Sosuke in BLEACH,  (despite his age) just has that awesome villain voice. Really.
Nagi no Asukara: Looks like the snow in the surface and the sea is going to freeze the world (I suppose it’s like the Ice Age?)  and thus people in the sea need to hibernate in order to tide over this phenomenon. Yesh. They didn’t mention what happens to everyone else: those NOT living in the sea. So despite everyone thinking that it’s the end of the world, they decide to have the last supper (haha not referring to any masterpiece in any way) before they go into the practice. And seeing as it is the end of the world, people take chance to do what they do best: Last Minute Wishlist. Like confessing his love to someone. Like Kaname to Chisaki. Yep. More exciting love problems next episode.
Golden Time: Banri (the old one) collapses in front of NANA-senpai, and is taken care of thereafter by Linda. Yep. They really are a wonderful couple, isn’t it? Next episode seems interesting, as it’s a beach trip, of course with Kouko-chan, and Linda too, apparently. When the new one awakens I really wonder how he’s going to settle the mess… (Audience: Wow looking THAT far already?) Yep, even though not reading any spoilers…

MUSIC
Last week I waited, and this week I waited. Finally someone gave up the idea of not uploading the single, and thus Ayachi’s 4th single surfaced yesterday on the Net. Eh… still considering her B-side. Feel like… this is a half-hearted compilation. Ore Ska Band would have done better as Ayachi’s accompaniment. Haha.

Also, you guys know Seitokai Yakuindomo is getting a second season for it’s Anime? (Audience: Yeah.) You guys also know that Satomi-chan is going on her solo music debut? (Audience: Yeah? What’s the link?) Well, apparently it’s on 26th February next year called “Mirai Night”, and… it’s going to be the Anime’s Ending Song. (Audience: Oh- WHAT?) Yep. Shocking even to me; I just  got over it just now when I saw the news… (Eh it’s in Japanese so… make a guess?) And looking at the event footage and EVEN listening to the song… I think I’ve changed my mind: I’ll listen. And also look forward to the Anime. Hehe~

In addition, I’ve heard Kana-chan and… at least it’s better than the duty I have to do on Christmas, along with the release of her 5th single. Kawano Marina also sounds good from previews, and most likely is what I’ll be waiting next week. ChouCho’s 2nd album is still in the pending, and unless I see something from her music company Lantis on YouTube… then I’ll make the decision.

Okay, that’s it for the week. And I’m silently enjoying Satomi-chan’s new song… which is only going to appear 3 months later. Well. Next up: The Klassic Note Spirit continues…

Sunday Night Report: The Klassic Note Spirit Part IV–Year 2010

JAPANESE SONGS INFLUX
Because this year is the year I don’t listen to anything but Japanese songs! I swear, really. Where does all of it come from, especially when the count is a record high? A good example is Anime songs (ie. Anisons), and plenty comes from music-related shows, like Ore no Imouto, which emphasises on a new way of creating new fan Ending Songs. Also is K-ON!, which at that time is definitely renowned within the country itself. So much so that… you know SCANDAL? They did a cover of the ending song too!

This is the ending that got me (and many others) hooked…

…and this is from rock band SCANDAL. Frizzy, isn’t it?

Also coming in are new artists coming into the list that I know, like ClariS (duo who are actually schoolgirls and got famous in niconico, Japan’s version of YouTube), miwa (not anything special but she is standing 149cm?) and SPYAIR, a wonderful band for rock songs. Also along with me spending more time reviewing singles and albums, thus the increase in number of CDs in my shelf now. Adding to the numbers is the new voice actor solo music debuts that I noticed from sphere, which I mentioned last week, like Aki-chan (Toyosaki Aki), Tomacchan (Tomatsu Haruka) and most recently on the year is Mina-chan (Kotobuki Minako) who sang a wonderful love song “Startline”.

MAINSTREAM MISSING IN ACTION?
Yesh, already? Yesh. Some artists who have been active for the past few years have suddenly… been rather inactive. Examples are Aqua Timez who only released two singles (once at the start of the year and close to the end of the year, which are awesome though) and Chatmonchy, which only released a mini-album for the year. Not worrying, but it’s a sign…

MISSING NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION OF THE YEAR
Also missing is the only compilation that got me started to listen to English rock and other JRock groups: NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION. Because this year the committee decided to not release a compilation but only initiate the live performance, also known as the NANO-MUGEN CIRCUIT 2010. But in later years they have made both events happen, but not having it in the year seems rather disappointing…

DISBANDMENT NEWS, IN JAPANESE
Yesh, I do understand Japanese. Not a lot, but more than enough to understand Kanji words (which looks like Chinese), like 発売 (release),中断 (hiatus) and 解散, which stands for disbandment. I think I did post this before, but the end of bands RYTHEM and HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR just as I was getting interested in them is not a good sign already. Now you know what I meant in the previous paragraph, huh. *silence* Well not that I’m worried, but then I also noticed that not everyone can last, not even in the music industry…

Nevertheless, the number of songs increasing is rather inevitable, and that really goes to show that I cannot live without Japanese songs, but that is also an exaggeration.
Next up on The Klassic Note Spirit: I needed Chinese songs already?

Sunday Night Report: Entertainment News Weekly, In Time

You guys know how much effort I put in just to remember to come here in time to type this and Klasic Note Spirit? (Audience: A reminder from your phone?) Oi! You’re not supposed to tell them!

ANIME
Coppelion: It seems that the Ozu sisters have no intention to be good schoolgirls, so we get to watch more action next episode, perhaps? Even the robot’s determined to get into the action… whatever that would be. I don’t read the Manga, you know…
Samurai Flamenco (changing sequence of viewing liao): Looks like King Torture is a maniac that sends out monsters (anybody think this is weird already?) that like to commit suicide on the sight of their weakness. Quite typical I suppose, and I think it’s getting more exciting.
Nagi no Asukara: Well… now they don’t let the kids leave the sea already? How? What would happen? What is the impact on the surface that the Sea God may intend to bring upon the people? Since this is Original Animation, waiting is the only way to find out… Interesting though, as how things develop. Still got time to talk about their love pentagon
Golden Time: Seems like Banri talking about his past with Linda… and guess what? The old soul triumphs over the new? Now that’s a good time. I guess that’s what the title means. But doesn’t that mean Kouko’s going to be the victim? Well feeling sorry for her already… the character, that is. Haha. (Audience: You're interested in Hocchan already? You remembered what you mentioned on that other post?) MOVING ON!

MANGA
BLEACH: Komamura’s done, and Kyoraku can still chat with the other Sternritter while protected by Nanao-chan’s Kido (it seems). And seems like killing the stronger enemy is going to take some time to postpone, as Rukia  and Renji are here to clear up the mess. The others, I mean. *silence* I didn’t know I could write THIS much. So much for story development…

MUSIC
Looks like I’ve only Aqua Timez this week, along with sphere’s new single. Checked and confirmed packages from Animate Online Shop (Mina-chan’s single and Yocchan’s, with SPECIAL PRESENTS…) and they’re most likely coming my way by my end-of-year leave period. Great. Also would be ordering SPECIAL OTHER’s live CD (worried their best album wouldn’t appear), sphere’s single (because missed the specials already) and SPYAIR’s single, which would be their first on my shelf. Yesh, the Samurai Flamenco opening song.

Next week’s on two more singles - Ayachi and MiraMuse (Samurai Flamenco Ending Song) - and two more albums (Kawano Marina, ChouCho) and one more single (Kana-chan) would conclude this year. Wow. I didn’t notice it’s all females…

GAMES?
Well I thought I should share. Recently been VERY hooked into rail transport games, from the new ones like Rail Nation (click here), Pocket Trains (@ Google Play Store) to oldies like LEGO LOCO (if you guys played this it’s my ideal game on lower specs) and Sid Meier’s Railroads (fun, but tiring, and rather complicated). No, not playing NFS Rivals…

Cya guys then. Next up: Klassic Note Spirit excerpt (actually haven’t finished up the real script yet hehe) Part 4 – Where Things Get Interesting…
