Hi guys. I duno why I keep starting with that, but who cares. I think you guys can guess I’m here to tell of my vocation to you guys. But unfortunately I an afraid to post any form of military text on this blog so I’ll just show one thing that makes the point:
“FD ENGR PNR – PLT”
In basic look it’s Combat Engineer (bo bian have to be Combat vocation, we’re told beforehand already), and FD means… Field Engineer? OMG not outfield…
Well putting that aside, and Dad consoling me that after training it’s more of managing the place instead of occasional outfields, my cousin KW has updated me with more accurate information. He told me, that the PNR represents “Pioneer”, which is a symbol for demolition.
Demolition? Explosives? C4? Death Cord? Well this could be fun…
I mean, really. At least I’m not the “chiong sua” type, or I do so in order to place some explosive to create a blast. Which is good, in my opinion. Camp-wise… I go to specialised-in-demolition Seletar East Camp, close to my home and just a bus trip away…
…
I’m glad, but not like very excited. I already know I’m in for some fierce training, given that my blisters haven’t recovered this would not be easy. Hope the life I have in that unit would be good, like superiors and stuff, and less of people like me in that camp (haha you get what I mean) so I don’t feel bad. I just hope when I enter on next Monday (yeah I still have the weekend) I don’t get a big shock (not cultural, I know the standards) big enough to make me want to down PES. People do that, but I want to avoid it. Anyways, my military career in these 2 years has been determined, and I’m hoping the best for it. Help me hope for the best too, yeah?
Cya guys then, until next time… I need to pack up already? APoL… haiz. I’ll see about next Monday first?
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA… (Audience: Eh… may we inquire on your ecstatic mood?) Well… the parcel arrived! Or actually, it’s a small box! Yeah!!
“It has never been so good. Now I know why consumer economy is thriving...” –Kaineng
Now do I only understand the true meaning of consumerism, as I see the deliveryman from FedEx (I noticed I spelt it wrongly previously…) give me the box, to me opening it and listening to it one by one, to be seeing some small gift items that come along with it… (even though it’s months since I bought these CDs) I can tell you it’s a kind of excitement. But yeah I also know I see some hole in my bank account already, but never mind. Actually, it kinda worries me you know: I’ve not been able to update my bankbook lately… (Audience: WHAT YOU USE BANKBOOKS? So outdated siah…) *silence* Hehe…
OK I’ll get to the details, said as a perspective of a consumer. I ordered a package worth of 13 of the finest singles in 2012 I’ve listened to far (haha the formalities), from CdJapan in… Japan, via FedEx to reach my home in Singapore. It seemed a smooth process ever since I clicked the “Order” button on Sunday evening, and it arrived this noon (it was quite on time), which means it’s about four days to process my order. The quality-wise… what can be seen is evident: It’s flawless in packaging, and protected properly using paper and bubble wrap (you know those things that Adam wrapped around himself to try to break a fall till he almost ran out of breath?) (Audience: What was that for…) to secure my goods. I rather recommend they place a “fragile” sign on the package though, because what CANNOT be seen has evident flaws, but not big enough that I can report, so I’ll let it pass for this once. Here’s a little pic I posted on Facebook to show my “wares”, haha:
As you can see, they come in different packages and sizes, and I somewhat thought of a way to keep them: Right in the package itself, haha. I see from Internet forums that YesAsia puts more bubble wrap than what Adam places on himself (ie. Quality assured?), but I don’t mind. I think I better stick to a reliable source for now. I’ll see about it, yeah?
Also, the songs just play wonderfully on the home theatre my home has, and I can only say from CDs… the effort they had to make the CDs is just… splendid. Jackets look wonderful, even to the discs and extra stuff placed inside… OK maybe I’m just a newbie at this, but for looking at these small stuff I’m willing to invest more in the near future, really. Are you ready to join me, or have you already experienced this music importing industry for some time and is enjoying it already? Haha I know JK has: His room is filled with SNSD stuff…
But you know? These are all IMPORTED stuff, and I guess not many have done this before, especially when you can just travel to buy them and get them fresh from the stores. Mine is different man, and it’s an experience like never before. On a side note, you do not see DVDs (or even Blu-Rays) because I’m worried about region problems (Singapore = Region 3, Japan = Region 2.
Conclusion: Incompatible? and I have no $$$ to afford BD. Besides I have no BD player, or the next home theatre shall be contributed by me, somewhat or another. And my future purchases, it may also depend on whether my vocation is good or not, and when I’ll get a pay raise, or if by any chance someone pushed me to Command School when I rejected the idea before. It all depends.
”It’s just… all in the air at the moment.”
Yeah, so the day is going to arrive soon: Friday 1000 hours. The time I shall open a browser and take a visit to MINDEF. Hope they don’t disappoint me. Hope I don’t disappoint myself. Hope… it’s all but bleak, huh…
Cya guys then, until tomorrow… I wonder when will I even up my mood to post again, but until next time… I need to get APoL moving. I’VE NOT WRITTEN ANYTHING YET! SORRY GUYS!!…
Wow that was one LOOOOOOONG post. Now for shorter one, ok?
*Looking at title* Can I really say it? (Audience: If you not scared of being sued by MINDEF and that TCM you visited [Yeah you didn’t see wrong, it’s both?]) Eh… I’ll say it: I drank too much water. (Audience: OMG!!) Yeah. the TCM said it. My “qi” was not smooth, I cannot sh*t (that’s true), I f***ing coughed throughout the session with the doctor yesterday afternoon, and he even can know I’m scared of cold conditions just by feeling me! OM- Wait. OMDBG… (Audience: |||…) Haha…
I’m getting into Taoism already, aren’t I? –Kaineng
Sh*t I said this is gonna be short, okay, okay. So I paid 50 bucks, he gave my pills and a solution-like medicine, and told me to drink only when thirsty (haha that’s equal to not drinking: I’m too lazy to go to the water point in my home, haha). Well, I paid for a lesson, and I’m not gonna complain about the endless water parades and jittering of my Mum to drink water- Wait. I’m complaining already, right? *Audience nods* Oh… Serves me right for drinking so much…
My present state now is rather fine, compared to two days ago. It’s Wednesday already (oh damn so fast, and my parcel is coming~) (Audience: Ah what an ass. Just get on…) (Haha~ *excited*) and I’m still coughing out the phelgm and sh*tting as much as I can. I’ve not drank 500ml (at one go) per day already (unless you include soup) and I think I’m a little better, besides that occasional ache on my left shoulder. Nevertheless, I hope I had more time to rest. But with SO many reports to do, discs to burn (VCD, not the DVDs of artists, not porn), one chapter of APoL to write (I haven’t gotten into it yet! OMDBG…) and many games to play including in no order: Sims 3 (a stuff pack is coming this week), Sims 2 (loved doing business in there, so sis and I are playing), GTA IV Episodes From Liberty City (yeah) and CitiesXL 2012, which… I’m gonna give up once the new SimCity 2013 game kicks in…
OMG! I’m busy, I’m busy, I’m busy~ (Audience: There’s no need to type it thrice…) (Yeah, I shouldn’t have typed it. I should’ve copied and pasted it.) (Audience: |||…)
Cya guys then. Real short this time. If I had the time I also wanna share a small percentage of the melodies I can remember during my BMT days. We’ll see about it, yeah? Until next time~
[P.S.: I’ll update on the results of my vocation and the parcel. Stay tuned. (Notice I don’t dare to place the word “promise”?)]
Hey guys, this is the next post. Yeah. And I need to mention again, it’s about the Entertainment News I missed to tell you guys for the past month. Actually, there wasn’t really a need to update, since in the music section it’s almost empty: I only reviewed two albums and no singles at all, for the whole month. Either the music companies in Japan needs pushing or I’m not in the mood to pick some songs. Yah, no one I knew released anything, so I no choice. I also took the month to get new songs, or actually, it’s “songs I haven’t heard”, and the count is apparently spawning in number. Let’s start shall we…
===========
(Sh*t what do I normally start first? *Audience whispers* Oh yeah) ANIME Eh… As you know the new Summer 2012 Anime have been surfacing from Japan to the world already, so I’m already slow in updating my progress. How about let’s talk about previous season first?
Sakamichi no Apollon ended… quite a weird way. Not what I expected (like an epic performance or whatsoever), but it started the priest, so I can call it “epic”, haha. Eh… I don’t remember much of music jazz in there, more like a story of love, as according to the authors in Random Curiosity. But then the love is displayed well, in all sides. In the many love triangles. In those many problems these teens face. Congrats Junichi and Yurika on their marriage and sex encounter (haha), and Nishimi on finding Father Sentarou after eight years. And yeah. I think I talked about me being a character parallel with Nishimi-san. Maybe I should grow some longer hair for a try… Haha yeah I know. I have to wait till 2014 (like, ORD?) in order for that to even happen. (Audience: Sad.) Yeah…
Natsuiro Kiseki ended in context of the stone, no doubt. But then it was just as weird as the other episodes anyway, so I have nothing much to say. What’s happen has got to happen, like Saki leaving for Tokyo, even though they really loved the never-ending Summer Vacation. I’d like a never-ending event. What would yours be? *Audience hints* Mine? Eh… A never-ending block week? (Audience: Hah, you hope…)
Hyouka leh… it’s still some distance from the end, and it IS ONE FULL SEASON, guys. Yeah, similar to me watching one full-season Spring 2011 Anime last year, (if you remembered) Nichijou. The mystery is getting good, even though there are empty lines in between, meaning they could’ve made it half-season (and ended now). Eh recently they’ve reached their School Festival, and in it also lies a mystery, even though it’s just Chitanda-san playing around the stalls and Oreki sitting there doing his work best – slacking. And selling 200 anthologies. Haha, that’s not gonna be easy. But there’s gotta be a way. I think… I really like how they play with human thinking in the previous movie-completion activity, making the writer retire for a more exciting ending. Evil people nowadays, huh…
===========
Let’s talk about the new Anime then. I’ve caught up some Anime, since it’s POP (POP!) (Audience: |||… You’re not over yet, are you?) (Hehe…) over for me, and I need more inspiration for APoL. As always, I take some shows with good animation quality and comedy, especially the latter, starting with Binbougami ga!, a show about the luckiest girl in universe(and the bustiest and cutest, really look at the girls in school…) (*Audience jeers*) (What?) – Sakura Ichiko – (I can even remember her name! Of course, Kana-chan stars her role~) AND the most unlucky God of Misfortune in existence, Momiji if I’m not wrong. And yeah, it’s like telling an unlucky guy to make a lucky guy unlucky. Understand? Yeah, it’s like the methods the unlucky guy uses would definitely get on him (in this case, her) before the lucky guy (in this case, girl) gets any damage. Well, and I like how it mentions about the impact of luck on others, like Ichiko’s butler Suwano, who almost died because of her. Now that he’s married to form a 52-25 marriage (五二二五,meaning a marriage of an elder with a teen), we see more characters appearing to help… either side? And yeah more Tomacchan voicing! Yeah! Haha. But then, I don’t like her character she stars wor, so… “man”?
And honestly, the Anime I introduce in this segment (See the line above? It’s not ASCII Art you know…) (Audience: |||…) are going in descending preference, or you could depict as “what I caught on first sight” to “what I think I can watch till the end”. This belongs to the I’m-afraid-of-this-show-as-it-may-contain-Hentai-content category? (Haha long hyphenated words again?) It’s Kokoro Connect, if you guys are guessing. You guys aren’t? Oh. Well, it’s another production by TBS, so animation quality is definitely good, though details of the art are simple. I caught sight of the show due to the soul-switching concept getting evidently occasional, and… I love the Opening Song. Brings me back to my childhood. (Audience laughs) Haha. I laughed at what I typed too. It’s okay on the first episode, and there’s Nagase Iori starring Aki-chan! So who wouldn’t watch? Haha, no lah. Just her only? No. My point is, it’s her that made this show more intriguing, like her acting a male perspective role, touching her own breasts only to attract attention from other girls who want to do her too? OKAY! TAKE THAT I DIDN’T SAY THIS SHOW WAS GOOD AT ALL! Haiz. No, please. No Hentai content, please…
Last but not least (well it’s the least, so…) is Tari Tari, a show about ONE student creating ANOTHER choir club to own the present one in their college. Bastard right? How could she do that anyway? And what would this bring? For the time being it brings touching stories, so I’m still watching. But I tell you, that college is rather screwed up, like the Principal sees a name and approves the club. Really? But then I’m a little displeased with the songs they put inside, and there aren’t veteran singers in the cast, so I’m hoping for the best. Yeah? I can still abandon a show at Episode 3…
Overall, the new season brings prospective. And I’m already loving the Opening Themes of the shows. Haha I guess I’ll stick with it to the end~
You see, people need to get influenced by others, right?
SHOWS
Oh MythBusters has already stopped weeks ago, so we can drop that talk. (Audience: ??) Haha at least till the next batch of episodes surface? Yeah? Recently went to download Jeff Dunham’s performance: Back in USA for him, still in South Africa for Walter and Achmed. Haha I just love the Achmed segment, especially in his new show two more characters are introduced, including Achmed’s… son? Yeah:
MUSIC
Onto music then, I supposed you had a good laugh, haha. Eh… it’s a long story, really. I picked songs from too many songs that I need a recall session. Eh… I started with listening to Sphere’s latest live “Athletic Harmonies” back a month ago and took back Mina-chan’s B-side for her 3rd single “Colourful Diary” and one from Tomacchan’s album two years ago “REWIND”. Weeks later I took Kugimiya Rie’s first own album. (Audience: ??) Haha I know you guys will start to ask who the heck is she liao. She stars people like Shana, and Taiga years ago on Toradora! Yeah, she at her late 20s is getting herself an album, and I can say… it’s quite good. The mood is there (or, at least, my mood is there too), and Composer from eufonius is also doing a good job. Oh the Composer also is a band singing for Kokoro Connect’s Opening, so have a listen. And in this connected world I hear Chatmonchy, who once again collaborated with Masafumi Gotoh, the vocal of Ajikan on a new song. Sadly it’s a B-side on Chatmonchy’s new single, how pathetic.
Wow paragraph too long, so break off. Recently I’ve hit NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION 2012, which is… most appealing to me. I placed plenty of stars on a lot of songs, and ended up with 5. (It was 8 at first?) Ajikan this time emphasises on music tracks, and I personally took more Japanese songs, duno why. Also Chatmonchy (above, just to fit into the conversation) and SCANDAL released new singles, which would break the ice on the second-half of this year’s songs, which include (I just name a few lah): Aqua Timez, Tomatsu Haruka, ALTIMA (Shana Endings?) HOME MADE Kazoku, YUI (yeah that “fight” song), Kana-chan, miwa and many more. See I tell you something must happen after NANO-MUGEN. Haha…
Sphere also had their new album released, which only included three new songs? Meh, trying to cut cost and make me buy the album? I almost did I tell you, but I held back. Took some song with a Chinese feel (you listen you’ll know), “Niji-iro no Yakusoku” than the other two songs. Talking about buying, FeDex is bringing in a parcel for me around tomorrow noon (yeah) containing 13 singles costing me 250 bucks. Hell yeah, all has broken loose here man, and I don’t care what my parents say. Wait till they see the box man. It includes the songs I listen within 2012, that fulfil certain requirements I set (like a secret ingredient I shall not reveal, but you can guess), and does not cost a bomb. Haha. Albums cost a bomb. I’ll think more than twice in getting that. I wouldn’t for Aki-chan’s album, by the way. Muahahaha… (Audience: Wait till you press the “Order” button on that…)
About side songs… VELTPUNCH people listened to sunday morning bell as shown on MySpace, so I also had a listen. Kawada Mami is getting on TV, so I gave her a listen too. After that it’s all the Anime song previews I’m listening to prevent myself from getting crazy when I hear them, spanning from next week to next month. Yeah Anime songs have always been a surprise to me, so I better be ready…
===========
Wow with the so many exciting things happening nowadays… WHAT THE HECK AM I IN NATIONAL SERVICE??? (Audience: Chill man. You don’t wanna kena STOMP just like that.) Oh yeah, relax. And yeah, I must compose myself for the parcel tomorrow! Haha! Cya guys then! I’m SOOOOOO READY! Take it up, Kawada Mami!
[P.S.: As with the occasion I’m supposed to place a picture, over such a long time liao. But as with the occasion now I think I’ll reserve that later…]
[P.P.S.: Mind the… not-so-attractive face of Mami-san. Just imagine it’s Tomacchan holding a guitar back when she’s doing her PV for her previous single “Oh My God”. *silence* *giggle* Haha…]
Wait! I think I can place a picture. Here’s how the Media Player with the NEW CPU is doing:
Oops! I forgot to tell you guys: I can see thumbnails in Windows Explorer! Summore in 1600x900! Too big for your screen? Sorry~ (Audience: Bastard…)
(Audience: Why the sudden-) Really, SORRY for the many weeks of not writing anything on this… deserted plain of nothing but text. SORRY for not updating about my BMT life and the shows and music I am entertained in the past month. Really, I’m apologising for my lack of promise and insincerity for doing so. (Audience: So that means this time your apology is also insin-) No! This is by far my most sincere, so please forgive me for everything. NOW… (Audience: ???) *white light appears* (Audience: !!!)
Haha that was just some stupid effect, forgive me. (Audience: We’re going to be Jesus soon if we have to keep forgiving you… [No offence xD]) Okay, let’s get started. Basically this post is going to explain what the heck happened to me in the past month of my life, from passing out from BMT (yesh I already did), future plans and… everything else military. Which does not have a security level of above “Confidential”. Which… I think I can say and show. Facebook has the pictures, so what’s so difficult?
Well… First things first let’s talk about something recent; The Passing Out Parade. And not forgetting the 24km Route March, which almost sacrificed my feet. (Audience: ??) Haha somewhat that was an exaggeration, but I wasn’t lucky on this. For 17 weeks of wonderful weather – even in Field Camp and SITEST – there in comes a bad weather on the START of the Route March, when we’re doing warm-up. I reminded people who asked about a Saturday evening showers, and when you’re in shelter seeing the precipitation fall, I was IN FRONT OF A PORTY, TAKING THE RAIN FULLY AS IT FALLS, WITH NO HEAD GEAR OR SHELTER TO HIDE IN. And that applies to the 2700+ recruits who were there also, so it really is ‘felt by the mass’, you know.
“Don’t delay the inevitable.” –Sergeant Jimmy
After that, it was just nothing better. When you feel your feet are immersed in water like being in a swimming pool, and your field pack, vest and helmet are all wet, suddenly everything seems heavier than usual, which made the journey down worse. On the other hand, at least the scenery are doing me good, or I’m just putting a lot of my energy in concentrating on walking this trip. As I always say (at least in BMT phase nowadays):
“I’ll be glad when this is over!” –Kaineng
As I was moaning about the march, at least when it’s over it’s still better than ever, and the mood for POP (yeah abbreviations) finally came close, as we change up, and… though it isn’t glam for those who came early in the audience, you can actually see a whole bunch of teens lying on the ground, sleeping. Yeah.
Yeah, and so the parade announcement startled everyone soon, and we all woke up to wash up, and prepare for the occasion. It went well, and as you throw off that Jockey Cap, it just feels that everything is over. Really. But then you know this is only the start of Every Singaporean Son’s two-year service for the country. Haiz, I told to myself:
“I hope I end up well after two years.” –Kaineng
So then I’m here, enjoying my… seemingly one-week break. I duno. If I receive the notice on Friday and sees it tells me to report on Saturday then there’s no point for saying the length of this break, isn’t it?
Yep. *blushes* Everything before suddenly seems unimportant already. The 16km march, BIC (you donid to know what it is if you duno), long hours of admin time without my memory card (yeah I still remembered that week; it sucked) etc. Because… BMT’s over. No more Tekong bus trips or ferry trips (at least not to and fro Tekong lah). No more lousy water quality and… cookhouse food. (Well, I’m not complaining about the food…) No more (for the time being) climbing of 5 storeys of stairs. No more… wait, isn’t it “no more” already? Why can I bother to list this much? OMG… Oh no. It’s “OMDBG”… (Audience: ???) *Kaineng whispers* (Audience: Ahh Taoist vulgarities…) (?)
OK. Enough about the past. Let’s talk a bit about the future, and the next post will be about Entertainment News. Till date, I still have no idea about where I would go for the rest of my two-year service. Anywhere is possible, it seems, and that means I’m prone to hitting any vocation I desire/don’t desire. Yeah. Hope for the best is the only thing I can do, and what vocation I get will determine (I emphasise again, dear guests) whether I will give a treat to my dear cousins. Haha…
Cya guys then, for now. Next post is on Entertainment News for the past month. Big gaps need to be covered, you know. Especially when you guys still do not notice I have a new CPU?? (Audience: Really?) Whiskey Taurus Foxtrot… (Credits to Kahwee :))
[P.S.: You guys need pics- (Audience: NO!) Oh yah, I shouldn’t place another to out-glam myself… (Audience: |||…)]
