Hi guys. I also duno why I woke up this early. Maybe it’s because of last night, where I was startled by the debut single of ANOTHER voice actor Hanazawa Kana-chan! Hmm, now this is interesting…
With respect to many years ago, the trend for Japanese music companies to start out music debuts for voice actors has been many. In 2009 Sphere was formed, with the members themselves having their own solo, pushed by Sony Music Japan. They should be by far the first and most successful groups till now, releasing 2 albums (consider the singles that come by it before them), a TV show (Sphere Club) and even an Anime focusing the cast on them… cumon, is there another voice actor group that has THIS much coverage already?
With recently, we also see some potential groups form, from what I hear last year. Eh… RO-KYU-BU, with the cast from the original Anime production, that released a single for their theme songs and album for their insert (I think, I didn’t watch), and also a photobook, sure to stir some otakus crazy. Not really me though, haha. Also StylipS (duno spell correctly not), another voice actor group with 4 releasing their debut single this year. Hmm, this surge of new groups are a little too much, isn’t it?
From all these above, it’s no surprise music companies also want to push some of the others into fame, given their popularity and unique voice, especially needed to use when selecting Anime songs. That’s why they would come to use, but not for now, I think.
Days ago I heard about Taketatsu Ayana Ayacchi’s single debut “Sinfonia! Sinfonia!!”, backed up by Pony Canyon, I think I mentioned this before. With her unique voice and increasing popularity (well even I liked her should be a good indication) brings about attention from the company to sign her with a debut single. I’m more than surprised, because we see more of groups formed, and wonder if she would end up in one, But she didn’t, and has been picked to go solo. Releasing 11th April, though a long way away, but then don’t you guys think this sounds like some ending theme from Ore no Imouto (ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai)? I knew I’ll see this, but not it coming so quick that I actually missed the live presentation and another day before knowing Hanazawa Kana-chan is also going solo! Her previous record has not been successful in terms of going solo, which was about 5 years ago. But this time I guess with her popularity (haha me again?) also seen in RO-KYU-BU that Aniplex is willing to help Kana-chan take another step in the music industry. Her unique voice and wonderful exhibition of this debut song is sure to make many die for her (I’m not that serious though), and bother to hear this song… seemingly sounding like when I first heard Tomacchan’s debut. It’s “Hoshizora Destination” people, and the lyrics are really very ‘little-girl’ like man:
