Wednesday Night Report: The Yearly Occasion

Hi guys. Just sharing a small part of my life, and that is, the day XX years ago that I came out to this world first in an air-conditioned hospital… Oh no, from an operation room WITHOUT air-con first, and then… Well you guys pretty much don’t need to know everything after that, not like I knew what happened. Yes it’s my day today (unlike everyone’s just 2 weeks ago) and there has been little happening. If there isn’t anything happening I wouldn’t even bother writing anything, right?

(Audience: Well you’ll be writing how lonely you are on your day.)

Oh yeah, oh yeah…

Anyways, just seeing how many presents I have on my day:

  • New watch from Mom, it’s branded, but I cannot seem to find the item on the Net. Hmm…
  • New wallet, from sis, as she did for my previous wallet. Well don’t know how to buy one so…
  • My dinner, from Dad. Well that I had my fill. We went a la carte.
  • DVD+RW, for myself. Don’t ask me why this, because it’s a little complicated…

But in case you’re thinking I’m burning porn to watch later tonight, it’s a no. Not happening. Like how Tsuda said it. Haha.

Next up: I’ll clear two more single reviews. I want to see how much I can catch up so I can maintain a blog talking about it. Because apparently writing the number of releases I listen to a year may just be torture to myself. So, I want to make this as painless as possible… (Audience: This is painful??)

Also, Tomacchan’s here to celebrate my day! Yay! (Of course I know the others also can, but I just remembered this only…)
開けてかな?
(No, the present better not vibrate like Tsuda’s… Oh I forgot that’s if I got it from Yocchan LOL)

Monday Night Report: The Klassic Note Review

Hi guys, I asked for a day more for Yanagi Nagi’s single, and here I am. And what happened? I clicked on the order button, along with SID’s new single, that’s what happened…
KLASSIC NOTE REVIEW
Yanagi Nagi – Mitsuba no Musibime [Single]
[Limited Edition]
[Regular Edition]

(I know; I can’t really see the difference either…)
Origin:
Well this single was to be credited on Anime “Nagi no Asukara” (if you didn’t watch it’s about time you should, it’s great show) as its second Ending Song (yesh second, means you missed the first by the same person last year) and I had an impression of Yanagi Nagi last year with her single “Aqua Terrarium”. Unfortunately her composition skills did not get to me and I left out her only creation in her previous three-track single. But not this time. I intend to give this more chance and given it’s also one of the singles on my birthday week (if I’m mentioning this a lot of times please don’t mind me nagging) so this brings more meaning as I go along.
Verdict:
As I’m willing to be more open for creativity, the impression of this single surprises me well with the complete A-side song and two short and unique B-sides in terms of the indie style I rarely get to hear. More explanations below.
(1) Mitsuba no Musubime
An emotional song which can be related to the show itself, talking about people binding together as with the lyrics. The full song is as decent as the 90-second preview I get to hear for the past few weeks, and is not anything disappointing, just like the Opening by Ray. PV does not really help deepen the impression of the song, but the mood of the song is pretty well displayed in the video, and I swear I saw that painting of wings before. Mina-chan might give you guys a hint.RATING: 4 Stars (Average)

(2) Intention Propellant
Started a little hesitant to give this, but hearing it again gives a different view on this song. It’s a little sci-fi, as if you understood the lyrics or even bother to find out what “sputnik” is in its lyrics (written by Yanagi Nagi herself, lyrics only anyway) is about departing into space. And then suddenly the title makes sense, along with the image it intends to present. And since the song is short and simple, it’s even easier to absorb, especially for someone like me who takes a lean to this type of songs once in a while, or actually it’s once in quite a while. Nice song, really.
RATING: 4 Stars (Average)

(3) unjour
Yesh people, why I hesitate to write this yesterday is due to this song, also a short song entirely done by Yanagi Nagi herself. Let’s just say this song overall has a mood that is entirely in its own realm, and that’s why I’ve been holding to this song and finding its plus points, in contrast to the one I hear from her previous single. This song stood better chance too, as it is simple, though complicated is its mood. Not some song I’ll recommend to anyone, but it’s good, for me. It’s that kind of melody I’ll think of when I run out of songs to listen, really.
RATING: 4 Stars (Average) (on the lower end though)

Conclusion: A-side pretty expected, did not expect to pick up the two B-sides too, but now I can say this is actually a full 4-stars single. Not very often seen as three songs in my list needs to be exceptionally impressive, and normally includes a 5-star song (Rie fu’s single “For You”). But this, this is just another 4-star single, which means I’ll take a listen if I were you. Even Yocchan’s single is less worth the listening.

~Kaineng, on the Klassic Note

[P.S.: Oh yesh the Tokuten (special gift), the Tokuten… (Audience: You just want the picture of the girl, don’t you…) Not really, but who can resist a free gift, hehe…]

[P.P.S.: Will explain more of the ordering path I took this time round once I get the stuff. Which most likely will come next week. I guess.]

Sunday Night Report: Entertainment News Weekly

As this is a Weekly, it obviously states no relevancy to the time the reviews these are made. So, they are made till today. Shows that have not aired or are in the last week would not be here. Don’t worry, nothing will be missed even though I said that.

ANIME
Tonari no Seki-kun: Didn’t know I missed two episodes. Robot playing and note passing in class are possibly anything you’d do in class, but it’s in extreme in this show. Yokoi even took charge of the robots Seki-kun irresponsibly left them, and even passing notes requires official stamps and forms to fill. What a class…
Seitokai Yakuindomo: More sick jokes coming our way, some from the Manga, and psyched up pretty much half the episode in the Anime. Shino-chan’s potential talent career is a good example, since I know and I read the Manga, haha.
Samurai Flamenco: Yes if cliffhanger is your middle word, then this show's for you. Never short of a surprise, the show continues to carry on a fight even as everyone thought the Prime Minister is the evil one, but is actually the last good guy. Well, aliens ruling Earth is not a new story, so I guess this is acceptable? Come on, even a hyped up leader is possible, what’s not?
Nagi no Asukara: Mostly on Hikari and the girls? Well don’t get what’s so awesome of bravery or confidence (maybe I don’t have) in him, but the girls seem to fall for him, whoever it is, Miuna or Chisaki. Of course, in this love polygon, everything comes together with people liking Chisaki and her character. At least I do. Haha… Especially the uniform changing part: I was laughing expectedly all the way…
Golden Time: Yes, Banri takes some time to go back to his school reunion, which pretty much he forgets, besides Linda. Seriously? Well at least that got Kouko crazy, haha. But this helps him a lot in recalling his accident, and probably would help him choose his love. Whether it’s the old or new Banri. At least this show’s getting in the right direction with each episode…

SHOWS
MythBusters… depends on how fast I can get the show. Yes I guess I’ll talk about it next week?

MANGA
BLEACH: Rukia? That was last chapter. This time round, Byakuya has no choice but to interfere. And for BLEACH fans, As Nodt reminds me of Zommari (that 7th Espada) or even Aizen. Really creepy.
Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun: Honestly? I waited too long. But not that the ending is forgotten. The ending went well before the last chapter already, so it was not a surprise. Not until the time lapse. Yes, people you should read this Manga. A nice quirky love story to read. Why don’t they finish this story in Anime anyway? Damn…

KLASSIC NOTE
If you read the previous post (not the one-liner) I reviewed Yocchan’s 4th single “EX:FUTURIZE” and is not really pleased, especially in the style this single is made of. I can imagine Yocchan as a lady in a nightclub, but not any further to give it a thumbs up to continue her record on my shelf at home. miwa’s new single is full of credit songs, and I can only give it’s A-side “Faith” 5-stars. Yes. SID’s new single is a sure-fire though, since it only has one song to prelude into its album a month later. No, not the four limited edition versions, just the Regular one.

Also, listened to Yanagi Nagi’s new single which is half of my birthday song releases. It’s promising, but fortunately or unfortunately 24 hours later I cannot give a definitive review for this yet. It’s either two out of three or getting on my shelf. Along with her previous single. We shall see… Goose house’s new single is not out yet, but this other half may make more of my birthday.

Cya guys then, that’s all. For the review of the single I just listened… could you guys just give me more time? Until next time!…

[P.S.: Will make more progress on APoL for my birthday week, because I made it so I don’t have to suffer anything besides sitting in front of a computer with a word processing software. Haha, jkjk…]

Saturday Night Report: APoL Chapter 9!!

まってたぜ!Here you go:

APoL Chapter 9: Pilgrimage

(Sounds like a good alternative title…)

I just love the “fresh from the oven” phrase, man. You guys just don’t know how ‘fresh’ this is unless you know the time from when I finish and upload and post here all within 10 minutes after I typed the last word in that chapter. Enjoy. I’ll get to Chapter 10 as soon as possible. Until next time…

Sorry I can't deliver the nightly post for the week. Don't think for tomorrow too. For the weekend at least expect Chapter 9 and the weekly Entertainment News. Until next time.
