Sunday Night Report: The Pre-Ordering Fever?!

Welcome back. Just in the previous post I was mentioning about what might happen if I had a hole in my pocket, but then that does not matter. Coincidentally I’ll be listening (and perhaps confirming) the order of FOUR singles, two of which (oops got the number wrong haha) are double A-side singles (ie. two tracks credit songs, when normally it’s only the first one, and typically written as two titles separated by a slash) including miwa from last month:


fumika – Feel It ORIGIN: Has been mentioned a few weeks ago (especially when I’m overseas???) that she’s having a new single… counting eight months after her first album. OPINION: Sounds great, especially when I’ve been able to hear full versions on YouTube. JGFI if you want to know more. OVERALL: Must hear, if you heard her before and unlike my sis, doesn’t detest high pitch voices. She sings well man…	angela – ANGEL/Tooku Made ORIGIN: Anime “Coppelion” Theme Songs OPINION: And I thought it’s going to be shabby. Right after the first episode I’ve been spamming the songs for the whole weekend. OVERALL: Once in a long time (like ‘three-years-long’ type of long) epic production, and I’m definitely going to give it a listen.	Horie Yui – Golden Time ORIGIN: Anime “Golden Time” Theme Songs OPINION: The songs attracted me more than the show. Really. I saw down to watch the show as a whole AFTER I listened to the songs. OVERALL: So long as the composers give Hocchan (nickname) this type of catchy Pop songs, I’m sure I’ll be her fan long time ago already…

Well it somehow feels like it’s all girls. That’s because it’s all the guys that write the songs for them! Haha. I mean it, really. Guess it’s just a rush, but then expect a package at my home soon (next month perhaps, this month got exercise again…) (Audience: Even after the Thailand one?) (Yep *sob*) as I’ll talk more of this year’s songs…

Next up: I SWEAR THE NEXT POST THAT APPEARS ON THIS BLOG IS GOING TO BE ENTITLED “APoL Chapter 8”. I promise.

Sunday Night Report: Entertainment News Weekly

This week’s short, also next week, mostly because of the given off on Friday, the off I had to take (it’s the Army) tomorrow and the holiday after that. Which is good news, and I can tell you ahead of time that I WILL FINISH APOL CHAPTER 8 TOMORROW. You may want to camp here to see the post, but it’s not necessary, haha. Been playing and doing a lot of things up for Klassic Note (if no one knows it’s the official name I gave last year for the song awards I hold myself, lol), and the computer has not been working up to speed. Haiz. Needs an upgrade already?

ANIME
This week onwards all new season shows, those you see last week will continue, and I reviewed two other new shows, denoted with a * before the title.
Coppelion: An episode… very simply put. Somehow even the Random Curiosity writer doesn’t feel for the episode too. Quote from ‘Zephyr’:
“Alas, it’s a development that ends up both a hit and a miss in general…”
So it seems that next episode would be more interesting, at least in development. Also found out that it’s only half season (ie. half of typical 24 episodes, only lasting three months), so perhaps this show isn’t as catching as the Titans show? Hmm…
Golden Time: The latest episode’s interesting, and got me into this show, finally. I mean, more of the romance part. And what’s more interesting (and most likely driving me to watch) is next episode, where Banri spends three days two nights with Kouko? Damn him…
Nagi no Asukara: Hmm talking about how one gets banished off sea if wanting to be with someone on the land. Well there must be a way to remove that kind of shedding skin? And on a side note; Now Manaka-chan wants her fish back, haha…

*Gingitsune: Eh… even though the Opening Song is what attracts me to the show, and looking at RC (Random… yesh) reviews it looks interesting, like Kannagi, if you watched before. But watching it is of a different impression, as it’s more like dealing with a small kid’s problems, and I don’t foresee any action coming. So… not watching, but the Opening Song – “tiny lamp” by Anime band “fhana” with the Anime cover would let me remember this show already… PV’s below!

“tiny lamp”? More like “huge spotlights” bah, haha…

*Galilei Donna: A disappointment, and also not listening to negoto’s new single liao. Not that the family story deters me off, but the sci-fi (did I say ROBOTS??) is kinda getting on my nerves. Besides, the mood is a little different off what I expected… So… no. It shall be the three shows above that I shall watch this season…

SHOWS
MythBusters rumoured to be having a Zombie Special soon, don’t know when though…
CrazyGod: It’s jokes all over, really.

MANGA
BLEACH: Now KUBO IS TRYING TO HOLLOWFY ALL THE SHINIGAMI CAPTAINS OF GOTEI 13? Somewhat this is rather f***ed up liao… But on another note, this might be the ONLY way to defeat the whole bunch of spirit-arrow-shooters, which actually do not use those powers themselves. Well see what the next chapter says lor…
Tonari no Kashiwagi-san: Does Yuuto really want to know about Kotone’s future prospects THAT MUCH? Well it’s a rather boring chapter anyway. Hope to see the Manga2.5 adaptation soon though, if you didn’t know people are doing it up already…

MUSIC
I guess this is the topic?
Well not much this week for new releases, but it’s sad to be waiting for two albums that don’t come. Haiz. One is Sambomaster’s, and the other – which I’m more looking forward to and deciding to pre-order – is SPECIAL OTHER’s Budoukan Live CD (and DVD of course). The PV I downloaded featuring a song I’ve not heard before last week “IDOL” is already now in this year’s list. So where’s the uploads, people? Also took Kalafina (from last week) and another song from Aki-chan (which makes it ‘eligible’ for pre-order).

I’ll only see a (whole hell of a) lot more songs two weeks from now (next week no new songs) due to the watching of the new season Anime. If you need a head start go check out fumika (just below) and fhana (just above this) and a whole lot more next month. Things will only get more interesting from here…

Sunday Afternoon Report: The Art Between Art And Writing

Hi guys.

You guys know? Writing a story is like editing an image in Photoshop, an image editor. One has to go through it multiple times before everything can be pieced together. Stories, like images, also require many layers so they do not overlap yet is able to show you the big picture after all is done. That’s why it needs time, time to create the depth and expansion, so that one can continue with another story or layer around.

(I know, so) Sorry guys again for the delay in APoL Chapter 8. I know you guys are wanting to know what happened to Shiriko-chan in the end (Audience: What Shiriko-chan??) (Hey, act enthusiastic can?), so I’ll try to finish it within this month. I also have started planning the next few chapters so I could hopefully finish say… 20 chapters by ORD? Is is even possible? I’ll try. Again, sorry for anything. Or actually, sorry for everything. It will arrive so long as I’m not locked in a camp or stay overseas without a computer connected to the Internet. LOL

Sunday Afternoon Report: Entertainment News Overkill

ただいま～

Felt that I had to feel back at home once I got back from Thailand. Feels like a long time, two weeks. Especially when you have SO MANY REASONS (that are not important enough to the higher-ups) NOT to go. But well it was an experience, and since I’m back I’ve been sorting out things from four days ago, so sorry for the late report. Watching shows can be tiring as well you know.

For convenience’s sake I’ll denote new shows with an * so you know. When I mean that I mean Anime from the new season, that I have no time to consider what to watch and missed plenty of trailers and am watching the first episodes to get an idea out of them. Yeah.

ANIME
Titans – Cleared last 2 episodes, essentially the most important episodes for the arc, and yesh, Annie’s a jerk and heartless freak for one girl who has lost her family besides her dad. Seriously? Well she deserves to die but she now seals herself, and I think the Manga is going to continue this story. But not another season from this show, sadly… Nice show though, the action.
Service – Not entirely service (if you need porn so somewhere else), but then Servant x Service proved to be a good slice of life show, compared to WORKING!! which also did a good job.
Kaminai – Eh… last episode was… weird? Maybe because there’s much more to this story, but then I don’t get the last part where who actually died in the real time “the God abandoned the world”, really. But well, decent show to watch anyway, besides with Aki-chan there acting cute you cannot resist her voice. At least I couldn’t, haha.

*Coppelion – Opening the season as the most anticipated action show, this is one of the shows I initially wanted to watch, felt sketchy about it, read some of the Manga, and after watching the first episode… think that it’s worth continue watching. Really, Tomacchan’s “manly-feminine” voice over the character along with Kana-chan’s cute voice just makes this show already. Besides, angela’s doing the theme songs, and I swear they’re good. But worried about rapping; not that the vocals “atsuko” does not do it, but she might just ruin the songs…
*Miss Monochrome The Animation – Total joke. Even for five minutes. And it’s not that I don't like a character coming out from a voice actor’s live performance...
*Kyoukai no Kanata – Good animation, weird storyline, variety of powers. Most of the time don’t know what’s happening. Somewhat with their special powers off may look better as a slice of life Anime, but then it’s a show, just lacks a proper introduction. Not watching after the first episode, but the ending song by producer “STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION” is interesting; Kinda reminds me of Aqua Timez…
*Nagi no Asukara – Sat down to watch another show that looks like Natsuiro Kiseki that they feature middle school kids. Seriously, man. But this does not deter me from watching this show, given it’s another animation original, features people in the sea and plenty of jealousy and romance. That’s why it’s interesting. Problem is I don’t really watch a show without taking a liking to the theme songs, so… I’ll see about it. I’m sure I liked the show…
*Golden Time – Hmm… gave it a chance because I saw two names, the creator (also created Toradora!) and the main female voice actor (Horie Yui, like… you should know). But then the story here is kinda disappointing; No concrete storyline, and somehow this is going to brings us to the main guy stealing his friend’s girl. Hope I’m wrong, because I’m going to give it a chance next episode. Else, this is going into the Recycle Bin. Also giving chance due to Hocchan also singing the theme songs which sound… nice. Really.

About some others I’ll talk about it next week, because there are a few more I’ll like to take a look. Interested in Galileo Donna (“noitamina” time slot original animation) and Gingitsune (looks like Kannagi) you know…

MANGA
Eh… oh yesh.
Kuroshitsuji – Just another chapter, but leading to a new arc, so I’ll be looking forward to it. Apparently the Undertaker is no simple person…
BLEACH – Over just 4 chapters they wiped Hitsugaya and Soifon’s group. Looks like things are bleak in the shinigami’s side, and of course Urahara is coming to save the day… from getting any darker. Doesn’t mean the skies will clear for the shinigamis’ victory. We can but hope.

On a side note, I was waiting for announcement of Tonari no Kashiwagi-san’s Manga 2.5 adaptation (don’t know wtf it is go Google it), and turns out to be a shock. The most unexpected voice actors are in the main girls list. Like, Ayahi-chan unexpected. (Audience: For real?) Seriously. (Audience: God…) Not like her voice will spoil the show, we’ve seen examples of her great voice acting too (eg. TARI TARI), but just her… okay nvm. Hope it comes out soon so I can enjoy some suspension and excitement off this love story, yeah?

SHOWS
CrazyGod – Been clearing two weeks of it (ie. 4 hours of laughing) and laughing rather dryly due to me getting a little tired watching so much at once. At least it’s funny. Or maybe I should’ve dragged it in the first place…
MythBusters – Found a random episode I haven’t watched and watched it, about Hollywood car multitasking and animal repellents. Zombie special coming round in two weeks time, and looking forward to another episode of science.

MUSIC
Yesh this is the most important part. Killed almost all my entertainment brain cells just by overloading myself with new songs, exciting and disappointing in many ways. (I’m going to put this in point form too because too much to say, and reviews to be done within last month with a *)
*Porno Graffitti – New single, another one this month coming soon. Didn’t know it took long to reach me, but after listening umpteen times only giving A-side the thumbs up. Besides, there’s a instrumental track. Sorry, maybe order your single next time?
*SCANDAL “OVER DRIVE” – If you hear SCANDAL singing songs about themselves before (the “Buttobase” song thing) then you’d love the B-side. Else, no. Took the A-side only.
*Aki-chan’s 2nd album – Not really awesome, and here’s where my head aches. Five new songs left to perfection, and yet in the end (today, I mean) I can only approve three, which means does not have the privilege to stay in my cd tower. Haiz…
*Service ED Song – Well I liked it two months ago already, so…
Kalafina’s new single for Kara no Kyoukai movie – Nice, but I need the mood. And since I didn’t get to visit a cinema in Japan, and considering it’s disc release is going to take some time (like half a year’s time) I think I’ll just have to find the mood myself then. Nice song though, for those who liked this trio.
SCANDAL’s latest album – The song-of-the-same-title-as-the-album combination was not necessary. Thanks MAMI for writing “STANDARD” as the last song, as it somehow deserves to stay there. (Oops am I insulting them already) (Audience: Think so…) (OMG what have I done…) Picked up two OTHER songs already, so that’s done for the band this year. Nice effort, guys.

Well I guess that’s all. Quite a long list, huh? Don’t worry; Next week’s WILL be shorter. Next up: WTF happened to APoL??
