Sunday Afternoon Report: To Look Back Again

Hi guys. I duno why, but every week I’m more depressed than before, and I actually tell my Platoon Commander I’m fine? Well at least I do not have suicidal leanings…

I can say something that is related to Army this week. Yesterday someone by the name of Andrew contacted me regarding this survey I took on the Pasir Ris Bus Interchange, which turned out – in this morning – to be a session of signing on to an Endowment Fund, and him being a member of AIA. I wouldn’t say I’m fooled; I don’t mind financial assistance, so I’m okay about it. At least I should not be talking to those promoters in the streets…

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
You know: I think too much during my free time (refers to when my brain is not occupied, which… is almost every second) that I cannot write everything down. So… let’s get on with the show…

In Anime, Apollon is as good as always, as Nishimi goes into a bar for a performance, interesting. I wonder what’s next. Natsuiro Kiseki is more reminder of the flu that is circulating round the camp, and more close-to-yuri action between Yuka and Rinko. Haha. I’m okay with that. So glad they do not go the distance in restricted content…

I also finally got Chatmonchy, and I took even the short B-side, which reminds me of their emo songs. I also got HD PVs for old and new songs like Aki-chan and Choucho. I also took some time to listen some Chinese Pop and took a song from 伍家辉, as I remember him from his theme songs in the movie “881”…

Eh… shall I not share more of my thoughts? I’ll try to write them and place it in APoL instead. You know what? Talking about APoL, I’ll try to write another chapter (short story for Sacchi) before my POP date, about July. I promise, really. Life is boring without writing, huh…

Tuesday Afternoon Report: The Labourer

Hi guys, and Happy Labour Day. And that is why I’m still not back in camp, but well I have to book in tonight, so it doesn’t make much of a difference. But instead of enjoying this holiday like sleeping until the time is up, I have chosen to update you guys about me. Personally, myself in particular…

In the camp… things are looking up. I’ve been learning things about my body, which (I can say since it’s me and not SAF) affect my ability to run faster and the body aches during runs. According to the physician I went to on Friday night was due to the cough, but I tell you: I still have problems with my knee. I decided to give myself two more years and I’ll go for a full body check up in a hospital to know the truth. Because I know, I have PLENTY of problems…

On the other end, I’m reaching BMT phase (aka PTP phase is over), and it’s gonna start with things like SOC, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. In IPPT I’m close to passing, but I bet after this break my results might drop again, haha. I’m likely to be back on this Friday, since there’s Vesak Day on Saturday, which would affect certain religions (not mine)…

ENTERTAINMENT NEWS

Wow from Friday… I’m hooked onto Hyouka. If you think it’s a plain anime about simple idiot-proof mystery stories, think again. It’s by Kyoto Animation (top quality) and wonderful cast. And I somehow found out the overall plot, so it sounds prospective. Besides, I like the opening theme, so that settles it. (Audience: Cheh… Why not you start with “I’m hooked onto the singer?”) (No the singer is not any attractive xD) In Sakamichi no Apollon, love is in the air, and I somewhat get the feeling of confession and stuff. But then the characters are actually bolder than me, so I have no comment. Natsuiro Kiseki is still slice of life, so I cannot comment further on it. Case studies are interesting, but hope there’s some conclusion to this show. My sis somewhat doesn’t agree on me watching this plain show…

In music, I got Ikimono and recommended it to my sis, and got ONLY Sid’s single for this week till now. TILL NOW you know… I thought YUKI and Chatmonchy singles would stand a chance while I wait for Choucho (see above), but then it’s rather disappointing. Haiz. Hope I get new songs on Vesak Day…

I also am watching other shows, like Inga-Ron, the Episode 0 for UN-GO anime, an OVA. The show clarified many things, mainly the origin of contact for Bettenou (A god) and Inga (Actually a demon) years ago during the war. Seitokai still not seen with the new OVA, so I shall wait patiently (even after such a long time). After half a month then I noticed the links for Tomacchan’s “Orange Road” Live, which means the links would have expired by now. Being Tuesday now I also have watched Sunday-premier MythBusters, which is an interesting show of dangerous driving and super glue. I also have been compiling PV collections in DVDs, and has also eaten up many hours of potential sleep time. Really, I haven’t had a nap in days… (Audience: Looks like you got more in ca-) Shut up.

Sunday Morning Report: Missing & Repeating…

Hi guys. Welcome back. Eh… I talk a bit of my situation now? Since I cannot talk about military life in any other way, I can at least talk about my PHYSICAL situation now. I’m like coughing to the extent of being nauseous, and plenty of phlegm has been moving in my mouth. So how? Even if I took the doctor’s medicine, I also don’t feel like bringing into camp, especially when you cannot keep it and take it anytime you like. Haiz. What shall I do? But I’ll try to bring in the antibiotics; I’ll need it to protect myself from the other recruits man…

Okay! Now to Entertainment news. I managed to read the latest Manga before I book out (don’t ask me how, won’t say anyway):
MANGA
”Kuroshitsuji” is progressing, as Ciel knows where the target is somehow, and with Sebastian’s help I see no problems with this case. Ciel just have to do more to make sure he is successful, that’s all. In “Good Ending”, we see some post-graduation entertainment in the group, and the author lets Utsumi play with Kurokawa, which… is of no problem isn’t it? Haha… And yeah, “BLEACH”. It’s rather straightforward, as Ichigo meets the Quincy-Arrancar Hybrid, while the leader – who is not killed by Yamamoto somehow 200 year ago – is deciding to invade Soul Society for the time being. Well more fights just appeal to me, and I really want to see how the two types can combine to use powers, like firing Ceros from bows. Hmm…

ANIME
I managed to watch both anime on Friday night, so that’s good news. “Sakamichi no Apollon” progresses very quickly I see, as Nishimi (I don’t like referring others by their last names, I duno why) gets a play-around with the other classmates, as they make more jazz and go for summer trips. I would say this show is gonna make the cut for this season, I swear. “Natsuiro Kiseki” leh… I can say it has really a lot of Slice of Life, as they talk about friendships and beliefs in the supernatural. Well, I think I’m looking forward to next week, as they talk about Yuka’s crush? I don’t mind Case Studies; they play better in anime episodes…

On the other hand, today midnight is the airing of the first episode of the third show I intend to watch this season, “Hyouka”. This is rather highly driven by the animation (TBS, which also done K-ON!) and the cast (Satou Satomi, Toyosaki Aki…). I’ll see about how the story may affect my decision to continue watching this mystery-genre show…

MUSIC
Wow for next week’s releases! I’ve already seen TWO out of THREE singles I have to review, and hope Ikimono can come today too. This morning, I heard Sphere and Kana-chan’s new singles. Sphere is okay with the Natsuiro Kiseki theme songs, and Kana-chan… they need to give her songs more power, and honestly the ‘Masquerade’ theme in her cast in Oreimo is just interesting. Don’t worry, Sony Music Japan has insured us three more singles anyway…

On the NEW PREVIEWS I heard yesterday… I can say I have something to listen in May. Sid has also revealed their PV for their 2nd single on their double release, “S”, which is a upbeat song, so I have no problems listening to it. Chatmonchy has also revealed they new single PV, “Hatena”, or as Japanese refer to as the question mark. Yeah the song is weird at first, but I tell you: They have the most interesting rock I can hear nowadays. Really. Also, I said I wanted to give a chance for YUKI’s 34th Single “Play Ball” to account for the double A-side song for the anime I watch (which is written above), “Sakamichi no Melody”. The song is great, but her voice… I can say, it’s unique, but I’ll take it anyway. Don’t take too much a fancy for her voice though. Well for her 10th anniversary I’ll just close one ear…

I think that’s all. Eh… since I cannot talk much about military life, I shouldn’t. But I can say my PTP phase (exercising only) is gonna be over soon, and there’s this long weekend next week (sadly Saturday is cut in half and donated to SAF liao) before we move into BMT. My IPPT results are still rather weak, and in my state my chances of passing is still… rather bleak. But I’ll try my best, and also desire to get out of Tekong asap.

Sunday Evening Report: Wanting a Standstill

Hi guys. Now that I have some time to talk to you guys… (Audience: Hah yah you had the whole afternoon and you slept.) Eh…

Okay many things not in camp, so listen up. (Audience: You not talking about camp?) (Can I?) (Audience: |||…) Let’s talk about shows first. First thing I came home on the late Friday evening two days ago I told myself if I don’t watch the first episode of Sakamichi no Apollon I shall not sleep. And I did. (Audience: You did not sleep?) |||…

SHOWS

The com sucked big time, so I used sis’ laptop. The show? I tell you, if you guys have the time, give the show a watch. Almost everything in the show is good, from the soundtrack to the scenes and the characters. That Nishimi-kun looks a bit like me in the front half, sadly I don’t transfer schools and meet a gangster to play jazz. After that, I’m quite similar in his mood and his urge to feel nauseous whenever anxious. Well. The songs? I like the opening; feels like a new stage of music like none other. The ending theme shall be considered when my mood gets for the worse, which… does not happen at home?

Natsuiro Kiseki is also good, especially how they emphasise on the friendship between them. Eh I wouldn’t agree on yuri action between Saki and Natsumi when they literally ‘got stuck’ to each other. And I tell you, I still like the liveliness on the roles Tomacchan acts. Seriously; it’s addictive…

Mythbusters… Man I tell you, I totally hate the damned idea of the show recasting on Sunday nights, in which case I cannot watch every time I book out, and it seems I am an episode later than most fans. The square wheels thing is interesting, though obvious. And the movie myth? I’m surprised on the 180 degree turn~

MUSIC

Eh… quite a lot. Let’s talk about this week first. Finally got the mood to hear the ClariS album and took two songs, didn’t consider B-side for Mina-chan’s single, and… I’m totally succumbed to Ayacchi’s single. (For the last time, I promise myself?) (Audience: Ajikan?) Need I say more? Their B-sides don’t take much chance. Besides, it’s not even two minutes…

Today morning heard Kalafina’s single, which is the only single I need to hear next week. Eh… I took the B-side since… I think I missed their style already? Kaijura had better put in more effort on keeping them famous…

On previews, SPECIAL OTHERS released their new PV for the limited press single “Beautiful World”, showing their trip to USA, so it doesn’t seem to be much of any inspiration. The tune? Eh… if it comes with an album soon, I’ll focus on SPECIAL OTHERS again. Now no mood bah… Also, Sid has released previews for their double-two-week release of singles. “Nokoriga” sounded… emo? “S” in the movie preview sounds hyped up, which I needed, so I’ll give Sid a chance again. Ever since last December’s single my impression of them has not been ideal…

On the side track, I gave chances to negoto (I last heard them on last year’s NANO-MUGEN COMPILATION) on their new single for Gundam AGE Opening. The tune is great, and the PV convinced me on their alternative rock style. Damn, why can’t Sony Music Japan take VELTPUNCH in too? Haiz…

Sunday Night Report: Change, Tired, See The Future

Hi guys. It’s been some time. If I only write once in a month due to my NS service, you guys can leave this place. But the good news is, you’ll only need to come here once a month. Haiz…

Due to the many regulations given by the SAF, NSFs are NOT allowed to publish any form of military content on the web, including Facebook, and of course, on blogs. Which means here included. So how? I cannot write anything, nothing of the army life, even though I’ve been in it for a month. So… I’ve decided. I’ll not write anything, lest I get caught and… land in somewhere I cannot commit suicide should I have to. Haha. (Audience: |||…)

For the Entertainment News… I cannot pledge to write once a week already. As anime goes, BLEACH and Shana have ended, and both ended on a good note, I would say. This week Natsuiro Kiseki has started, which was kinda prospective the way this goes. Next week’s Sakamichi no Apollon, and after a few episodes I’ll give proper impressions of these shows. For now, I’ll enjoy the Opening Theme from Sphere…

Recently been spending… this exceptionally long weekend (including Monday; don’t ask me why, cannot reveal anyway) watching live performances, which include Sphere. The girls… they are as good as they are, and they have two days, releasing two DIFFERENT lives. An epic fan then would only obtain BOTH versions, and so since I’m not I took the ‘Climax Stage’ version. It’s good overall, but a performance and DVD release a year is kinda hectic for them, I would say…

I also watched Kalafina, which brought back memories, especially with listening to ‘to the beginning’, their new song in Tekong. I just loved the feel of their songs, but somehow their songs also have deviated to the Pop aspect instead of the Classical aspect. Kajiura Yuki-sensei’s compositions have changed? Or did she take from FictionJunction, her permanent affiliation?

YUI also has her recent concert release, and it’s good to hear YUI again, though her new songs are not in my list, especially the new album. More from YUI man, something that could flip my lid. Well, I mean… well you understand. (Audience: ???)

There are also new songs for the month. miwa’s album stunned me, as well as her song credits that made me choose more from her average collection. SCANDAL’s best album is not the best, but I like many of their songs, so it doesn’t matter. Porno Graffitti is just releasing their new album in a pretty relaxed mood, which made my choice of her songs reluctant. Well, it’s not as bad as the new album I found this morning for ClariS. Haiz, their style… difficult to choose you know…

Wow all was pretty concise isn’t it? I’m trying to cover everything so you guys can get a reference. Well… since it’s so much I really should update once a week huh…
